Jim Cummings: Darkwing Duck, Drake Mallard, Newt Blemmer

Quotes

  • Darkwing Duck : [appearing on a studio roof]  I am the terror that flaps in the night. I am the hair in the lens of your projector. I am...

Launchpad McQuack : [climbing onto the roof]  Uh, D.W., why couldn't we go through the gate like everybody else?

Darkwing Duck : Because I'm not like everybody else. I am Darkwing

    [jumps from the roof]

    Darkwing Duck : Duck!

  • [first lines]

Darkwing Duck : The crime fighter moved through the dark streets, his every sense alert to any insidious injustice, malicious misdeed or unspeakable crime. He knew the night held new challenges to test his skills and he was ready. But first I have to pick up the kids from the movies.

  • Darkwing Duck : How am I going to solve this baffling mystery if I'm going to get thrown over walls every five minutes?

  • [Erret is examining the scene Darkwing botched in a private viewing room]

A.F. Erret : The whole scene, ruined by that idiot! I'll go bankrupt! I'll lose the studio!

Darkwing Duck : [entering the room]  Nix on the negativity, my friend. For I - Darkwing Duck - am about to write the final scene in this mystery.

A.F. Erret : Not you again! Every time you're around, it costs me money!

Darkwing Duck : The villain made one major bungle - mainly, that the crime itself was forever captured on film!

[Launchpad munches popcorn while watching this from a seat]

Launchpad McQuack : Boy, if there's anything I like better than a movie, it's a free movie.

Darkwing Duck : I will now show you that piece of celluloid, Mr. Ferret, and expose the criminal's identity. Launchpad, the projector!

    A.F. Erret : It's not Ferret, it's Erret! ERRET!

[the projector is turned on. A fly appears on the projector, covering a large portion of the screen]

Darkwing Duck : [referring to where the fly is]  Direct your attention, Mr. Erret-Erret, to the rubbish pile here. A seemingly innocent bystander easily overlooked.

A.F. Erret : A FLY! A FLY ON THE PROJECTOR!

    [the fly flies away]

Darkwing Duck : [dumbfounded]  Oh... yes, yes, so it is. Well then, if the fly's innocent, that means that the perpetrator is someone else.

    A.F. Erret : GUARD! GUARD!

Darkwing Duck : [getting nervous]  Uh, uh, no more questions, Mr. Ferret, Erret... whatever.

[He runs away but then pokes his head back into the room briefly]

Darkwing Duck : But don't leave town!

  • Darkwing Duck : [about a shield prop]  I'm not telling you your job, Ingmar, but no self-respecting hero would be caught dead with one of these.
