- Stark gets a second opportunity to prosecute Wayne Callison for murder, but his stubborn determination to get a conviction no matter what gets him forcibly removed from the case.
- Stark believes as soon as recently released schizophrenic Hannah Morton's naked corps is found, slashed and murdered his way, no forensic leads, it is the work of his daughter Julie's stalker, Wayne Callison, who is signing his book 'The Hunted Man' on how he beat Sebastian in court. Julie is tickled pink to be invited by her former headmaster to a prestigious summer school in Manhattan, near her ma, but pa has doubts as it leads to Porter Prep school there. Jessica Devlin leaves the L.A. prosecution office after fifteen years now Cutler defeated her. The forensic resemblance of Hannah's cuts with previous victims is inadmissible, but when Dan Tompko witnesses he saw a man in a car there, both fitting Wayne, Stark charges him; his publisher posts the fat bail. Sebastian has the team examine every possible detail of Wayne's past to sketch a killer's portrait to the jury. When Casey and Isaac find Hannah's fellow patient Jeffrey Wharton has a violent past and was obsessed with her, Sebastian forbids his team disclosure and burns the evidence, but Wayne finds out- Stark is barred from the case, Jessica Devlin takes over first chair. Wayne also manages to discredit Tompko as he was Janet Butler's half-brother, so only Callison's past can be used against him...—KGF Vissers
