Netflix’s “Scoop” is inspired by the real events behind the bold efforts of “Newsnight” booker Sam McAlister to secure an interview with Prince Andrew amidst the fallout he felt from his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
It traces the admirable behind-the-scenes teamwork of McAlister, journalist and interviewer Emily Maitlis (Gillian Anderson), editor Esme Wren (Romola Garai), producer Stewart Maclean (Richard Goulding) and ultimate fact-checker Freddy (Jordan Kouamé), as well as photographer Jae Donnolly (Connor Swindells).
High stakes, adrenaline and twists and turns make “Scoop” a compelling watch, in addition to the star-stacked cast that portrays all the real-life players.
Here are the cast and characters of “Scoop” on Netflix:

5-year-old Prince Louis, his 8-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte, and then Kate Middleton were seated beside him. 9-year-old Prince George wasn’t with his family as he was attending the ceremony as a Page of Honour.

Emerging from the rubble of two war-ending weapons of mass destruction as well as its own barbarism, Japan was reduced to its knees. With a cascade of constitutional changes at the hands of their occupiers, as well as the liberation of so-called “Sangokujin” whom Japan had spent the century systematically oppressing and obliterating, the people looked on in punishment as their country underwent rapid reformation once again. It is against this backdrop Rikio Ishikawa (a soul-destroyingly evil performance from Tetsuya Watari), the son of a country humiliated beyond defeat, the product of the pillaging of a national identity, violently defies salvation as a modern-day Ryunosuke Tsukue in Kinji Fukasaku’s most abyssal picture of his ferociously graphic career; enter the “Graveyard of Honour”.

Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson have teamed up once again — this time to throw cyber criminals against walls.
The two stars appear in a new cybersecurity awareness PSA from Amazon as a part of the company’s protect and connect program, which aims to teach Internet users how to protect themselves from phishing and other cybersecurity threats.
The PSA features Jordan and Thompson saving unsuspecting internet users from sketchy internet schemes. The PSA comes as a follow up on Amazon’s commitments at the White House Cybersecurity Summit in 2021.
“Being part of this PSA was an opportunity to work with Tessa again, one of my mentors — Paul Hunter, and to support the Amazon family to get this message out that cyber security and your privacy is really important,” Jordan said. “Nobody wants their information stolen. As much as you can protect your information, and your family and friends, you should do that.

Welcome to this week’s review of Impact Wrestling, which this week opens with a Before the Impact match that saw Alisha defeat Renee Michelle. Apparently, according to reports, this week’s Impact is the last for W. Morrisey, which is a shame… Hopefully he’s headed on to bigger and better things! Let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Mia Yim def. Savannah Evans The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Mia Yim competes in her first singles match since returning to Impact Wrestling as she battles the powerful Savannah Evans. Deonna Purrazzo, who will join Yim in the first-ever Queen of the Mountain match at Slammiversary, joins Tom Hannifan on commentary. Evans spikes her with a big Ddt. Evans continues the assault with a pop-up powerbomb but it’s not enough to put Yim away. Yim uses her quickness to avoid Evans, sending her crashing into the steel ring post.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation which runs a ridiculously short twenty minutes and One second. We’ve only got two, yes two, matches on the card, one of which is Another title defence for Mercedes Martinez. Let’s get into it!
Match #1: Konosuke Takeshita def. Ryan Nemeth
My Thoughts: Konosuke Takeshita goes from a banger of a match against Adam Page to slumming it with Ryan Nemeth. Ok, so it gets him more experience on Aew television but he’s already out-classed the likes of Nemeth in his existing Aew matches so this feels like a step back for a guy who, Imho, could be in one of Aew’s title races right now. Now.

It’s a fitting end for an extended awards season that so often saw “The Power of the Dog” director Jane Campion running off with award after award: The Kiwi filmmaker has won the Oscar for Best Director for her work on the lauded Western drama. The award makes Campion only the third woman to pick up the accolade; she follows Chloé Zhao’s win last year for her “Nomadland” and the first female winner, Kathryn Bigelow, who won for 2009’s “The Hurt Locker.” During an emotional speech, she thanked her cast, crew, family, and Netflix, along with the Academy for “the lifetime honor.”

The Manchurian Candidate is a compelling conspiracy thriller, one that still holds a visceral power 60 years after release. The threat of incipient fascism disguised as a clown and a buffoon drives the film as much as the plot that gives the film its title. There are conspiracies within conspiracies, it may be shot in black and white but it's got plenty of grey areas.
Based on Richard Condon's novel, it features a tremendous assemblage of talent, not least Frank Sinatra. His contributions to the film are significant, not just the use of his private plane. It's probably his finest performance on film, a blend of reserved bonhomie and righteous outrage that would be prototypical for actors like Harrison Ford and George Clooney.
Condon's book was one of several of his filmed, though this and Prizzi's Honor are probably the only ones fondly remembered. It's a taut work, and it's easily.

After her acclaimed debut in Joanna Hogg’s semi-autobiographical film, the actor returns in its sequel, starring again alongside her mother, Tilda. She talks about her unconventional upbringing and her off-screen life studying psychology
You’re an 18-year-old school leaver, working in a florist’s and all set for a stint volunteering in Africa, when your godmother asks if you’d like to appear in a film. As its star. In 10 days’ time. For most of us, it would be the stuff of fairytales or fever dreams, but for Honor Swinton Byrne it was real. There would be no need to learn a script, she was assured, because it was all going to be improvised. All she needed to know was that she would play a film student called Julie, a lightly fictionalised version of her godmother, Joanna Hogg, who was also the film’s auteur-director.

When I first walked out of The Many Saints of Newark, my initial reaction was to call it a B-movie. What I didn’t say at the time, however, was how much I love B-movies. While I saw the flaws in the film and couldn’t wholly endorse it to cinemagoers spoiled by the perfection of The Godfather, Goodfellas, and New Jack City, I can wholeheartedly recommend it to people like me. Those who appreciate the low-budget gangster movies sometimes because of their warts. A majority of fans of The Sopranos will have the same reaction: Meh, The Many Saints of Newark could have been better. So when’s it playing next? I plan to see it again, more than once, on the big screen.
In one of the film’s quieter moments, the Soprano family is gathered around a TV set, watching the classic Key Largo (1948). The specific scene...

The company, whose recent hit shows include “Porni,” “Those Who Kill” and “Honour,” just unveiled its plan to launch in the U.K. in the second half of 2022, and in Canada, Germany, Switzerland and Austria in 2023. Anders Jensen, Nent Group president and CEO, spoke to Variety about how the company will capitalize on the fan base for Nordic noir content; position itself in today’s crowded streaming landscape; and navigate fragmented content rights.
Congratulations on announcing a launch in five more markets. I was expecting France to be part of it!
Well, France is definitely within our scope, and there will be more chapters in our journey.

The BBC and Amazon have released new images of Christopher Walken (“Severance”) and “Poldark” star Eleanor Tomlinson in upcoming Stephen Merchant production “The Outlaws.”
The show, which is written and directed by Merchant (“Jojo Rabbit”), marks Walken’s first role in a British television series. In one of the first images from the show, (above) he can be seen in an orange high-vis jacket leaning against a graffiti-covered wall.
Tomlinson, meanwhile, swaps corsets and bosom-bearing gowns for ’80s style padded jackets and a trilby in “The Outlaws,” which was previously known as “The Offenders.”
The plot of the show focuses on seven strangers with disparate lives who find themselves thrown together as they finish a Community Payback scheme – which is a non-custodial sentence sometimes handed down for less severe crimes – in Bristol, in the South West of England. The scheme requires participants to wear high-vis orange vests as they carry out their tasks.

The scheme requires participants to wear high-vis orange vests as they carry out their tasks.
