Most of the character of Jahir is inspired by Jahir Soares himself, however at the time the script was written he was not yet an Evangelist, which he became during a period of time during which André Lavaquial was developing the story and was not in direct contact. The fact of Jahir Soares being Evangelist as the character was pure mere coincidence.
When filming the drum improvisational scene at Lapa in Rio de Janeiro, a large group of spectators gathered around to see Jahir Soares play, no extras were required for the scene.
Most of the Short-film was filmed with two DVX100A digital cameras, one mostly operated by André Lavaquial, and the second by Rodrigo Rueda Terrazas. Also, Bruno Diel operated both cameras.
A documentary about Jahir Soares is also being developed as a parallel project from André Lavaquial, which might in fact use footage from the short-film.
Frandu Almeida helped and gave his opinion of the short-film during the post-production process which itself took place at Rodrigo Rueda Terrazas house.
