Curb Your Enthusiasm returns to Max this month in what’s being called the show’s final season (for now). If you’re not ready for the Larry David-centric comedy series to end, you can binge all eleven of the show’s previous seasons on Max right now before hitting the new episodes.
Tokyo Vice will also be back in February for season 2. Stars Ansel Elgort, Ken Watanabe, Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Show Kasamatsu, and Ayumi Ito are joined by Kubozuka and Miki Maya this time around, as Jake Adelstein feels the danger closing in on him. Max also welcomes you to the premiere of the highly acclaimed (and highly depraved) Dicks: The Musical this month, as a couple of self-obsessed businessmen discover they’re identical twins and decided to bring their divorced parents back together.

I’m a feminist because of Katherine Heigl. Wait, let me clarify. I’m a proud feminist because of women, like Katherine Heigl, who have fought tooth and nail for a seat at the table set by and for men. (Growing up the only daughter of a single mother also helped.)
Heigl has been in showbiz for decades, making her film debut at 14 years old as Kathryn, a dreamy, naive pre-teen in 1992 romance drama That Night. In 1994, she landed her first major supporting role as boundary-pushing teenager Nicole in romcom My Father the Hero, before starring in 1999 TV series Roswell as popular girl Isabel Evans.
It wasn’t until she got her six-season breakout role in 2005 as Dr Izzie Stevens on Shonda Rhimes’s award-winning medical drama Grey’s Anatomy that Heigl became a true Hollywood staple. Later, the abrupt nature of Heigl’s exit from the show in 2010 fuelled speculation that it was,...

While there are many new movies and shows coming to Netflix in December to look forward to, the streamer unfortunately has to cut some great films this month as well. Stanley Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange” along with “A Little Princess” will be leaving this month, among many others.
Oscar-winner “Blue Jasmine” starring Cate Blanchette will also depart in December. The “Men in Black” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” franchise films have a ticking clock as well, not to mention “A Cinderella Story” starring Hillary Duff, Chad Michael Murray and Jennifer Coolidge. Though Daniel Craig’s reprisal of Benoit Blanc in Rian Johnson’s “Glass Onion” arrives on Netflix on Dec. 23, one of Craig’s five James Bond films, “Casino Royale” will leave Netflix on Dec. 31.

HBO Max is serving up a lot of great new movies this October. Fittingly for the spooky season, the Warner Bros. streaming service is adding a fair few classic horrors to its library next month, but there’s really something for everyone going up – from comedies to romances to sci-fi to superhero films.
Speaking of that last genre, DC lovers will be pleased to note that 2013’s Man of Steel, the movie that kicked off the Dceu, is among the titles arriving on October 1st. Besides that, there’s a bunch of animated DC pics dropping the same day, including Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and All-Star Superman. 2005’s Constantine featuring Keanu Reeves, meanwhile, also debuts on the service from the 1st.

It’s the way it always is with Netflix. You get a load of new content every month, but you also lose a bunch of old favorites, too, as the rights agreements expire and they hop over to some other streaming service. September will be no different, as we’ve now got a list of everything that’s set to be removed from Netflix on the first day of the month after next.
There are a number of notable titles among them, too. First of all, the first two Bad Boys movies are leaving the site on September 1st, so make sure to give them another watch sometime in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, Netflix is losing a couple of classic horrors as well. Namely, 1988’s Child’s Play and the original Candyman, ahead of the Jordan Peele-produced remake that’s on the way.

Earlier today, we got our hands on the full list of every new movie and TV show being added to Netflix next month. It’s an impressive offering, too, featuring originals like Project Power and the fifth season of Lucifer. But as is often the case, just as every new month brings us fresh additions, it also results in a lot of great titles leaving the service.
August is no different and along with revealing everything that’s being added, Netflix has also announced what we’ll be saying goodbye to in the coming weeks. Some of these just arrived on the platform quite recently, too, which makes their exit especially unfortunate. But unless it’s original content, not a whole lot lasts forever on Netflix and so, we’ll always have to come to terms with the fact that popular shows and movies could be removed at any time.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread and large public events are being canceled out of caution, many people are staying inside to avoid the possibility of catching Covid-19. And while those people are trying to *stay away* from the outbreak, those who are Netflix subscribers are interested in *watching* an outbreak.
As of Saturday, the 1995 medical-disaster film “Outbreak” is the ninth most-popular overall title on Netflix in the U.S., according to the streaming service’s daily Top 10 list. The flick, based on Richard Preston’s nonfiction book “The Hot Zone,” comes in at No. 5 on the platform’s rankings of today’s Top 10 movies.
Starring Dustin Hoffman, Rene Russo, Morgan Freeman, Cuba Gooding Jr., Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland and Patrick Dempsey, “Outbreak” tells the story of the spread of a fictional Ebola-like virus in Zaire and the fictional small town Cedar Creek, California, due to a monkey that is host to the disease.

Today is March 1st, which means we have a whole new set of titles to tell you about that just dropped on Netflix. The streaming service has 54 new movies/TV shows from nearly every major studio, including Warner Bros., Paramount and Sony, and while that number is still ten less than what we got last March, there’s far more original content on the service than there was a year ago. So, trust me when I say you’ve got plenty of options.
So many options, in fact, that I often find myself browsing for so long that I can’t decide on what to watch until it gets too late and I go to bed instead. First world problems, right?
In any case, below you’ll find the full list as well as a few descriptions of some personal favorites. Or some that I just felt like commenting on.

Netflix is adding a robust line-up of popular programs to its slate in March.
In addition to rom-coms like Matthew Mcconaughey’s “Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past,” “He’s Just Not That Into You” and “Always a Bridesmaid,” the streamer is also adding a few classics like “Goodfellas” and “The Shawshank Redemption” starring Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins. The latter film also serves as an analogy for actor Macaulay Culkin’s journey to freedom, according to his Esquire interview.
Original Netflix shows coming to the platform next month include “Lost Girls,” “Crip Camp” and Season 3 of “Elite.” Based on a true story, “Lost Girls” follows a mother who, in her desperate search to find her missing daughter, helps to uncover a string of unsolved murders. Amy Ryan, Gabriel Byrne and Thomasin Mckenzie make up the cast.

With February 29th fast approaching – this is a Leap Year, remember – Netflix is preparing to roll out a fresh helping of new content for March 2020.
It’s a familiar combination of original series, time-honored classics and beloved franchise films, with next month set to herald the arrival of Resident Evil: Apocalypse and its undead sequel, Extinction. Sure, it’s a far cry from the quality and craft of The Lord of the Rings – speaking of which, both the Twin Towers and The Return of the King will be departing Netflix in four weeks’ time – but the saga of Alice still carved out an audience to call its own.
Also peppered throughout Netflix’s March 2020 catalog are some big-name horror titles and edge-of-your-seat thrillers, including Signs and the third season of Ozark. And then there’s the third season of Castlevania, which, it’s fair to say, has been a long time coming.

Here's what's new on Netflix in March 2020! We've got a complete list of what's leaving, too.
Normally the big story for each month of Netflix new releases are the exciting batch of Netflix original series and movies arriving. For Netflix's new releases for March 2020, things are a little bit different. Yes, there are some cool originals here but...look at those movies!
March 1 sees the arrival of Corpse Bride, The Shawshank Redemption, There Will Be Blood, and Goodfellas! Martin Scorsese likely can't unilaterally decide when and where his movies stream, but it is a happy coincidence that Goodfellas will now exist alongside The Irishman.
As for those Netflix originals...Ozark is the biggest returning hit in March. The story of a very corrupt family airs its third season on March 27. Also of note are Castlevania season 3 (March 5), Altered Carbon: Resleeved (March 19). But really after Goodfellas, nothing else was really necessary.

Netflix is out with its list of everything coming and going in March, and highlights include “Ozark” Season 3, coming March 27, and the Brazilian version of the popular reality competition “The Circle,” coming March 11.
There’s good news and bad news. The good news is we’re gaining some beloved mid-2000s films, like “He’s Just Not That Into You,” “Valentine’s Day” and “Silver Linings Playbook,” “Corpse Bride” and “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events,” plus some ’90s favorites like “Space Jam” and “GoodFellas.”
The bad news is that throughout the month we’re losing “Black Panther,” “Eat Pray Love,” “The Waterboy,” “P.S. I Love You,” “Batman Begins,” both “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” and “The Two Towers,” and “Kill Bill” Volumes 1 and 2.

Life as we know it may be long dead in the world of The Strain, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything left fighting for, as a new preview video for the fourth season shows the Resistance banding together for one last stand against The Master.
"The Strain is FX’s high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, former head of the Center for Disease Control, Canary Team in New York City. After he and his team were called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism, Eph and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers waged war for the fate of humanity itself.
As the final season begins, nine months have passed. The world has fallen into darkness, and the strigoi are in control. The explosion at the end of season three triggered a global nuclear apocalypse.

Welcome back to the Weekend Warrior, your weekly look at the new movies hitting theaters this weekend, as well as other cool events and things to check out.
Will This April Dump Weekend See Any New Movie Open Over $10 Million?
After the decent opening of last week’s The Fate of the Furious--though not quite as much as I predicted--it’s going to be hard for any new movie to make a mark against its second weekend even if it drops 55% or more this weekend, which is very likely.
Probably the best bet to make money this weekend is the thriller Unforgettable (Warner Bros.), which pits Kathryn Heigl against Rosario Dawson and is the directorial debut by producer Denise Di Novi (Crazy, Stupid, Love). It also stars Geoff Stults as the ex-husband of Heigl’s character Tessa, who becomes engaged to Dawson’s Julia, making her the stepmom to the former’s daughter,...

See Unforgettable in theaters April 21, 2017.
Warner Bros. Pictures’ dramatic thriller Unforgettable is the first film in the director’s chair for veteran producer Denise Di Novi (“Crazy, Stupid, Love,” “Focus”).
Katherine Heigl (“27 Dresses,” “Knocked Up”), Rosario Dawson (the “Sin City” films) and Geoff Stults (TV’s “The Odd Couple”), star in the film. “Unforgettable” marks a reunion for Heigl and Di Novi, who previously collaborated on “Life as We Know It.”
Heigl stars as Tessa Connover, who is barely coping with the end of her marriage when her ex-husband, David (Stults), becomes happily engaged to Julia Banks (Dawson)—not only bringing Julia into the home they once shared but also into the life of their daughter, Lilly (Isabella Rice). Trying to settle into her new role as a wife and a stepmother, Julia believes she has finally met the man of her dreams, the man who can help her put...

"She's messing with me." Ugh. Another trailer for this movie. Warner Bros has released a second trailer for the romantic thriller titled Unforgettable, about a vengeful woman who sets out to make life hell for her ex-husband's new wife. The man-in-the-middle is played by Geoff Stults, and the two women are played by Katherine Heigl with some impressive blonde hair, and Rosario Dawson. The film is also a reunion for Heigl and director Denise Di Novi, as they previously collaborated on Life as We Know It. The cast includes young actress Isabella Rice, Simon Kassianides, Whitney Cummings, Robert Wisdom and Cheryl Ladd. This is an ironic title, because this movie seems instantly forgettable, and I'm certain it's going to be sitting in the Bargain Bin in a few months. This looks terrible, even with these two women leading the cast. Here's the second trailer (+ new poster) for Denise Di Novi's Unforgettable,...

Katherine Heigl may have the face of an innocent angel, one that lures you into a false sense of security, so once you see her in her new role as a bit of a psycho in the trailer and poster for Unforgettable you may not look at her in the same way ever again.

This dramatic thriller is veteran producer Denise Di Novi’s (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Focus) first time in the director’s chair but it sees her reunite with Heigl who both worked on Life as We Know It back in 2010. Heigl, who was last seen back in 2015 in Jenny’s Wedding and TV series State of Affairs seems to want to shake off being typecast in the romantic comedies and sink her teeth into something a little less saccharine and full blown bitter and twisted. It...

"How well do you really know Julia?" Warner Bros has released the trailer for a romantic thriller titled Unforgettable, about a woman who sets out to make life hell for her ex-husband's new wife. The man-in-the-middle is played by Geoff Stults, and the two women are played by Katherine Heigl (with some seriously wicked blonde hair that makes her look like Monica Bellucci) and Rosario Dawson. The film is also a reunion for Heigl and Di Novi, who previously collaborated on Life as We Know It. The main cast also includes young actress Isabella Rice, Simon Kassianides, Whitney Cummings, Robert Wisdom and Cheryl Ladd. From the description, this seems like a comedy but it's actually a crazy twisted thriller. Here's the first official trailer for Denise Di Novi's Unforgettable, direct from WB's YouTube: Heigl stars as Tessa Connover, who is barely coping with the end of her marriage when her ex-husband,...

Now if you or I had said what Detective Erickson said of a previously non-violent person who suddenly snapped and committed a vicious assault in Scarlet Witch #1; “He claims to have no recollection of his actions, which is the first step to an insanity plea;” we would have been correct. But unlike Detective Erickson, you or I don’t live in the Marvel Universe. Or the DC Universe, we don’t even live in the slightly more mundane Dark Circle Universe. We live in the completely mundane Life As We Know It Universe.
The Life As We Know It Universe is a universe where there aren’t mutants, aliens, freaks, supernatural beings, master hypnotists, and Stan knows what else out there that are all capable of mind control. We don’t live in a world where any one of those beings could take over our...
