This is absolutely everything that's wrong with the Romanian movie industry: artsy, pretentious BS with no real substance. The story in itself was interesting, but the flat acting, the shaky camera (seriously, why?) and the long shots with little to no action made it a difficult watch. And not difficult as in complex, difficult as in 'so boring, I'm questioning my motivation to go through with this'. Why the long shots, the "nothing happens, check out the grass being blown by the wind for 3 minutes"? If you've got a good story, but it's only enough to fill 20 minutes, make a short film. I like shorts. I'd watch a good short any day. All that filler ain't art. It's just pretentious filler. Here's a spoiler for the ending: nothing happens.

I am Romanian, age60+, I do practice Catch and Release (The proper translation of the title and maybe the only "good" , in double language , think of the moovie; another acceptable translation, ''mot a mot", could be 'Sport Fishing") . I went fishing where the film was shot and there the "real stuff" is that the 'the newly enriched spoiled the forest and the lake with a lot of villa-s. The 'clou"' of the film is that the middle (.."old" ) man and woman, and ''traditional" society, even saying thay care about and respect the "marginal' guys, in reallity they are acting a contrario, up to permit accidental death. 'Cath and release" in sport fishing suggest that in any interhuman reaction, the parts are free to go "their own way" (Fletwood Mac) after. Or 'If you love some one, set him free" -Sting. Here in the movie, the 'traditional"couple spoils up to death the "pure" marginal character. And do not "release" after "catching" it! Spoiler!! They KILL. In screenwriter and/or director's vision.'Like bad guys they are . The character seems to be killed in the beginnig and dies drawned in reality at the end, with the non-intervention of the man, to "cover" the sins of the traditional couple. better and forever said allready: "2 feet, bad, 4 feet, good!!" absolutly undigestable! I do not agre with the former virtual colleagues, who rated 10/10 a movie with no public impact, with 4 reviws after 12 years!!! Real Romanians , 35+, are not giving a flick-flack on propaganda, they have had a lot allready.And in my opinion, about 2 pieces of 10/10 ratings in 3 reviews I have a strong suspicion of home critics, or'cause' support. One star , because it has 5 corners, like the (neo) marxist one. Don't waste your time if you are not an activist, whatever barricade you are on! Please do excuse my English!
