Each year riders from around the world seek to prove they have the talent, focus, and confidence required to be named the next Motocross Champion. Ken Roczen, the German-born returning champion, strives to capture the prestigious title for the second time in a row with the support of his new race team RCH, but coming off of a disastrous Supercross season plagued by injuries has placed doubt in the minds of many. His former teammate, Ryan Dungey, seems to be at the height of his racing career and more determined than ever to take back the championship title which was once his in 2012. Over the course of six episodes, this series follows Roczen, Dungey and others throughout the 2015 Motocross season as they endure the unending pain of preparation, weekly travel throughout the United States and the expectations of fathers, fans, sponsors and internal demons.

The 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series began with historic performances by Eli Tomac and sizable setbacks for Ken Roczen and Ryan Dungey. Dungey, fresh off the best Supercross season of his career, appeared to be the clear-cut favorite alongside new trainer Aldon Baker and a redesigned KTM machine but the outdoors will require all his foundations to be rebuilt and his momentum re-established. Meanwhile, Roczen struggles with an injury.

Eli Tomac's season-ending crash at round 3 heats up the rivalry between Ken Roczen and Ryan Dungey, the new top contenders for the AMA Pro Motocross title. Roczen has reintegrated his father back into his riding program while Dungey works alongside the most respected trainer in the industry. Both riders move to Florida where they practice at separate facilities in hopes to find an edge on their competition.

In Our Scars There are seemingly insurmountable obstacles and a team of parents with an unreasonable hope at the origin of every great motocross career. Ken Roczen's father Heiko overcame a childhood in Communist East Germany while Ryan Dungey's father Troy continued to invest in Ryan's racing when no one else believed it would pay off. These sacrifices did much in creating successful careers, and creating the fortitude to live the ever-arising trials.
