Later that night, it's Margene's night with Bill. As they are going at it, she makes it clear that she doesn't want to get pregnant any time soon. She insists, "it's not my turn" and brings up the fact that Nicki hasn't gotten pregnant in almost four years. Bill doesn't want to talk about it, but the next morning brings it up to Barb. She has no idea what the problem is, but reminds Bill that Ben has a flag raising ceremony of Friday.
Ana calls Margene and tells her she was bored to death on the date. She makes Margene promise she won't desert on her on the next one.
Meanwhile, Adaleen and Nicki are chatting, discussing the last two Jane Does who are testifying against Roman. They found out that Rhonda is one of them, but the other has yet to be revealed. Rhonda is also mounting a civil suit against Roman. Adaleen pressures Nicki to find out where Rhonda is hiding out and also to find out the identity of the last girl. Later, alone in the bathroom, Nicki takes a birth control pill from her hiding place. It looks like she's still sneaking around and has no intention of getting pregnant.
Out at Juniper Creek, Kathy tells Joey they want her to give another deposition tomorrow. She's the last Jane Doe! Joey says he won't be able to take her to the city, but she says they are going to do it in a hotel room in St. George. Wanda watches from the other room, suspicious of their conversation. Kathy feels her stares and feels bad they haven't told Wanda the truth, but Joey insists they must keep it secret from her.

Barb brings up the fact that Nicki isn't getting pregnant. She gets defensive and makes excuses.
Meanwhile, Bill and Don are presenting a slideshow of casino architecture to Jerry. Don seems a bit off today and keeps flubbing his way through the presentation. Jerry is interested, but thought he was going to see a model, not just a slide show, so he could bring it back to his tribal council for a vote. Apparently Don promised him a model, and he reminds them they are competing against Trump and the other big casinos. After Jerry leaves, Bill scolds Don for promising a model. It's way out of their budget but now, he figures they have to shell out for one. Don is pissed and says he can't afford it. Bill tries to press his him, but he stomps off.

Sarah takes this opportunity to tell her that she wants to go to ASU, and she was accepted into the nursing program. Barb is surprised and says they can't afford an out-of-state school. She doesn't understand why Sarah wants to leave. Sarah explains that with all that's going on right now with the trial, it would be easier for her to blend in if she were in Arizona. Plus, she's upset that they are thinking of getting another wife and the fact that Barb is so comfortable with it. Barb is speechless. Sarah walks out in disbelief.
Bill and Nicki get Roman's blessing at the prison. Roman tells Nicki she will bear her husband many more children and then asks her to leave him and Bill alone. After Nicki's gone, Roman asks Bill to help him find Rhonda, because he knows she's testifying against him. Bill asks if the charges are true, but Roman says he never "supported coercive copulation" and then he only counseled "obedience to help wives achieve harmony with their husbands." Bill refuses to help and says he's not Roman's errand boy but then Roman threatens to call on his family to testify to Rhonda's credibility.
Back at the house, Bill tells Barb about Roman's threats, while Nicki listens in from the kitchen. Bill tells Barb that he's trying his best to get their financial interests outside of Utah. They are counting on this casino to come through, but that means they pay for the model out of personal funds, even though it's over $18,000. Barb tells him about Sarah's plans to go to school in Arizona but he flips out because they can't afford it. He says the trial is toxic and they need to protect themselves.
Margene comes in the kitchen and asks Nicki how the blessing went. Nicki snarks she will match her baby for baby and tells her to drop it. Margene asks if she really wants to have another child, but Nicki just spouts it's her duty. Ben and Frankie pick up Sarah at work. Donna, one of Sarah's co-workers, thinks Frankie is cute, and Ben warns him, "meet your first suburban predator." Donna replies, "Yes, and we even have sex if we feel like it."
At the house, the family is on their second date with Ana. Margene is retelling the story about how she sold her gaming machines, and is convinced she found her calling as a sales associate. Nicki picks a fight with her that says she's neglecting her calling as a mother, but Margene suggests they get a babysitter to help out. Uncomfortable with the bickering, Ana tries to change the subject, but Margene won't let it go. She reminds Nicki that four years ago, she was the babysitter. Barb tries to jump in and save the day, reminds Margene they agreed it was Nicki's time to work. One by one, they get up and go to kitchen, leaving Ana alone outside. Bill comes back outside, and admits they aren't good at dating but they are trying. Ana fakes a smile.
The next day, Alby pays a visit to Joey. He tells him that Wanda asked Kathy to be removed from the house, and threatened to harm her. He tells Joey to keep Wanda under control, and they can't lose Kathy as a witness. Alby is the one organizing the trial against his father!

Bill tells him to pull it together, but Don flips out again and rushes out past Jerry. In the meeting, Jerry likes the model but says he's worried about Don and wonders if the time is right. Bill presses him that the time is now, but then Jerry brings up the trial. Margene steps in and tries to explain but then crosses a line. She accuses Jerry of being prejudiced against polygamists and says it would be the same thing if they assumed he was a drunk, lazy redskin. Bill tries to stop her but it's too late. Jerry tells them not to push it and walks out. Margene doesn't understand what she did wrong because she only spoke what she thought was the truth, but Bill says, "Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing." The deal is over.
After the meeting, Bill asks Peg what's wrong with Don and she tells him that two of their wives left, along with the children. They are sadly monogamous. Don admits this is why he's been so upset. He has no rights to the children, and the lawyer told him to he just has to drop it. As he explains, the phone rings. It's Barb. Bill tells her he's too busy to talk, but she's calling from the hospital. They won't let her drive home. He picks her up and finally she tells him the truth. They still have to wait for the results of the tests, but she confesses she's no longer afraid of death, unlike seven years ago. Bill realizes this is why she's been pushing for Ana. She asks Bill to keep it a secret until they know for sure.
Meanwhile, Nicki brings a casserole out to Adaleen's van. She tells Adaleen that Bill has been pressuring her to have another baby and Adaleen reminds her it's her duty as a wife. Nicki thinks that Adaleen's relationship with Roman was ruined because she had so many children and that she resented them for it. Adaleen insists that wasn't true and asks Nicki if she's deliberately not having babies. She shames her and warns her if her desire to have a relationship with her husband is stronger than her duty, she's in trouble.
Wanda and Lois are talking at the house, when Frank comes in to introduce his new wife, Jodean, to them. Lois is upset and calls her a whore. Wanda runs and grabs a knife, but then one of the other sisterwives, Frankie's mom, hits Frank over the head with a shovel, knocking him unconscious. Lois tells her to take the sisters home and drags Frank to the barn.
Ana calls and cancels plans for dinner. She says she has to cover a shift, but Bill knows she's not telling the truth. She admits she doesn't think there is a place for her in the family, but he tells her she needs to jump in and find her place.
Later, Bill tells Nicki about Barb's medical tests. Nicki wants to go to her, but Bill asks her to keep it a secret. Barb comes in, and tells Nicki she wants to talk, but Nicki is surprised when she brings up her fertility again. She reluctantly agrees to go to a fertility clinic. Frankie brings Sarah, Ben, and Donna to the place he's been crashing, a house rented by a bunch of kids kicked off the compound. Heather can't believe they are staying without adult supervision, but they convince her to check it out. As soon as they go inside, someone tells Sarah that a guy is looking for her outside. It's Scott -- he followed her there. He tells her he wants to go with her to Arizona but she breaks up with him, and says she's not in love. She goes back in the house, upset and Frankie comforts her. And then Heather calls them to the back of the house. They discover Rhonda's room, where she's created a shrine to herself. And, they realize Frankie is "kind of" dating her.
Bill goes to meet Jerry before he leaves town. Margene wanted to go make amends, but Bill insisted on going alone. He tells her she made a rookie mistake, but now it's up to him to save the deal. He catches Jerry just as he's leaving the hotel. Jerry admits that there was a bit of truth to what Margene said. Bill makes his last pitch, pointing out the similarities between them, and says he's just a regular guy trying to support his family. Jerry agrees to take the proposal to the council.
At the clinic, Barb and Margene wait with Nicki. Shes called in. Margene asks Barb if they ever talked about how many children they wanted before they married she and Nicki. Barb says she thought they would have six or seven children, and losing the ability to conceive was horrible. But sometimes the choice isn't yours. Margene decides now is the time for her to be a mother, but in the future, she wants to be in sales.
Nicki is in with the doctor and he tells her everything looks good. She asks how long it takes for her birth control to wear off, and wonders if she might have ruined her chances to have kids. The doctor is concerned and asks if she wants to have children. Once again, she says it's her duty...but when the doctor offers to write her a prescription for more birth control, she does not hesitate to say yes.
Bill is at Ben's flag raising with all of his boys. Don is there too, and he tells him that the council approved their proposal and now all they need is a loan from the bank. Don warns Bill they will look into his family, but then Bill says now that Don is monogamous, he should apply for the loan. He doesn't want to do business without him and tells him it's the perfect way to rebuild his family. Bill calls Lois to share his happiness about being with all the boys in public. She's overjoyed but cuts the call short. She's got Frank tied up in the barn. Back at the house, Sarah is crying in her room. She has a book on her lap, "Options for a Young Mother." She's pregnant!
Ana is at her house and there's a knock on the door. It's Bill. She asks him, "Is it just us?" and he says yes, then the whole family piles in for an indoor picnic. Finally, Ana feels comfortable. As they set up, Barb gets a phone call from the doctor. The test results are in. It's good news! Barb is relieved and looks over, smiling at Bill and her happy, growing family. But then, she looks at Ana, and her smile slowly fades.
