Antonia Thomas is amazing.

I do not completely agree with every decision the writers made (Robert Sean Leonard just seemed like a comic relief in this episode. I get it, we need that, but we're talking about a House veteran, it was a little off even if it made me laugh.)

And yet I'm still here to thank Liz Friedman and Tracy Taylor, the writers of this episode. It finally gave a chance for Antonia Thomas (Claire Browne) to shine as an actress. She was amazing. The range she has is incredible. The way every little emotion shows on her face is crazy awesome. And I'm pretty sure she could carry her own show with her talents and this character.

Congratulations, Antonia!

We all agree that the people who watch the good doctor is the type who love like these actions just slow then suddenly something happened emotionall or sad or happy most of time so i'm just saying it's worth at less 7/10

S3.E3 - Claire's Episode [9/10]
panagiotis19938 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
(S3. E3) My Live Reaction / Review for The Good Doctor Season 3 Episode 3 ''Claire''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. This guy had a huge fish that pierced his leg, is that even possible? Dr. Browne is anxious about her first surgery, I hope all goes well. Dr. Browne tried to do the right thing for this girl and she gets punished by not doing the surgery? That's so unfair. The mother of the girl is the one that should be punished. She makes the life of her daughter literally hell. Thanks to Dr. Melendez, Dr Browne will do the surgery, that's awesome. This episode focuses more on Dr. Browne but its pretty decent. Dr. Browne's mom died, that sucks, such a tragic ending. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

Warning: Spoilers
It's a sad episode, but it was so great!!! 👍🏻 The writer is showing some good views, but I didn't like how Carly reacts against Claire.

"We're women..."

No, you're not women. You're a doctor. How can you ethically and professionally make balanced and scientifically sound decisions with such chip on your shoulder. The second you'll stop piling up preemptive excuses it'll be the second you'll start to see the way to real accomplishments.

Way to flip the script, writers room!

I have a love/hate relationship with this show. Usually I spend the first 40 minutes being annoyed with the actions of the characters and the last 20 minutes feeling redemption (which is why I keep watching). This episode started out the exact opposite. I was really enjoying learning more about Claire's storyline. I felt there was plenty of drama, difficulty and sadness already present. Then, just as I was thinking "How nice it was" to have a feel-good episode, they completely gut the viewers with the ending. No offense, but I get enough of that watching CNN right now. I don't need it in my 'entertainment'. This show serves up plenty of harsh reality without this level of visceral devastation.

Allow me to disagree

"We're women and we're not white", so what? Nowadays whomever would dare expressing even a shadow of a doubt about your skills would immediately crucified as a misogynistic racist. Isn't it time to drop the victim act? And yes we get it, Claire is an angel and the heroine of the show. Talk about showing it down the audience's throat...

Race Card
donnakdunbar8 May 2024
Why does everything these days have to come down to the race card? This episode was just fine on its own. It didn't need the Chief playing the race card with Claire, and flaunting HER privilege. It was needless crap that brought down the episode. Nobody cares what color you are, Dr. Lim. If you're the best doctor, you're who I want operating on me. There should be nothing else to be said. Yet, some writer just couldn't stop him or herself, and had to go there.

I enjoy this show. It has a unique premise, and I enjoy seeing Shaun progress. But if they're going to keep this crap up, I won't be watching.

Missing The Point?

The "Good Doctor" is one thing, "Scrubs" reruns are another. It should be impossible to have the same expectations.
