The spirit of Worzel lives on...
dalewesley7 June 2020
For a 5 minute short, this encapsulates every magical emotion any Worzel Gummidge fan ever had! We see Jon as a grown man, with a daughter called Charlotte, which is of course a beautiful tribute to the wonderful Charlotte Coleman who played his sister Sue. Jon is seen remembering his days as a child, and his enigmatic friendship with Worzel, and the forlorn expression on his face as he reminisces, I can't help but think that it's also a real expression for actor Jeremy Austin, as filming Worzel as a young child must have been a fantastic and memorable experience. There's a heart warming twist at the end which I'm not going to spoil, you MUST watch this if you are a Gummidge fan! The director and writer has done a wonderful job in this short film, and the music attached is equally fantastic. We hope to see a lengthier follow up to this asap!
