Perfect Storyline for Luke
weestokesy21 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode made me feel like it was the final season. We see Luke approach his parents and ask them for permission to drop out of college because he has a business idea. Luke has been inventing since he was a kid and I thought this was a really good storyline for him and it feels like a bit of closure for him. He has not listened to what people have said in the past and now he has really pulled himself together and invented something amazing. Well done Luke. Other story lines were good such as Cam saying he was available to a coaching job in Missouri without consulting Mitchell and Haley really wanting the best for her kids when Gloria tries to secretly baptise them (Haley is becoming a caring amazing Mom). I did feel like Gloria really crossed the boundaries in this though.

Not too bad. Go Luke, Go!

Warning: Spoilers
True, these last few seasons haven't been as laugh out loud funny as earlier seasons but I still love watching the characters. So glad to see that they may be wrapping things up for Luke with potential success in life. He has always been one of my favourites. Yes, he has been portrayed as a bit stupid over the whole series but every now and again he has done something that makes you realise how much he can be underestimated. Not everything in life is book smarts and he has always thought outside the box. I feel like I've watched him grow up so I was kind of proud of him in this episode! Also enjoyed seeing Mitchell step outside his comfort zone for Cam. A great episode on relationships

Luke the genius?
totallyhot7824 February 2020
The show is always fun, but now we're meant to believe that Luke, who for the last 11 years has been a complete buffoon, has now dreamt up a genius idea and is suddenly able to deliver an articulate sales pitch? I know the show is wrapping up, but come on! That said, I hope there's a spin-off series or two. It's going to be hard to lose Phil at least...

Very weak episode. The weakest of this season so far. I've watched 6 episodes and this is the only one I can't remember anything happening in this, beside Gloria's scene.

Good fun

When it looked like the 10th series of 'Modern Family' was to be the last the writers started to move the characters towards their endgame, but then it got renewed for an 11th year and things sort of remained as they had always been largely.

Now it seems like they are trying again, and it was nice to see Cam/Mitch, Luke and Claire all heading onto the next stage of their lives.

Personally I don't think any of the characters are strong enough to hold their own in a spin-off, but it certainly is fun seeing them together for one last run.

I will miss them.

Ugh

Luke the genius? You really expect us to believe that the dumb younger brother is all the sudden a genius? No. I know that this show is supposed to be realistic but do we really have to bring religion into it? Shows just need to stay in their lanes.

Warning: Spoilers
WTF is wrong with this family this season?!? It's like they lost their minds once Hayley had the babies and all of their worst instincts came out. Somehow Hayley, Dylan, and Jay are the only sensible ones anymore. From Claire constantly undermining them as parents (disappointedly with the help of Phil) to Gloria trying to baptize the babies behind their parent's backs, I'm struggling to finish the series. I was perfectly well engaged with this series through the first ten seasons, they did not need to inject this kind of strife into the show, particularly because I really hate it. I do enjoy the extra magic that Phil has been doing, though.

See where this is going now that series is ending. Cam is the absolute worst. California yo Misery?! No thank you. He's whiny and narcissistic, I wouldn't be married to him let alone move with him away from my family.
