The film was shot with hidden cameras to make it the film more realistic. It was shot during the actual Quiapo Feast of San Nazareno.
In an interview, director, Brillante Mendoza cites this film as the hardest he ever did in terms of logistics, concept and storytelling.
As part of preparation for the film, the actors took workshops with real life thieves to closely portray their lives on the screen.
