Action

Best we've had really. It was also very good in the dynamic it was set.

Body Horror

The Farther gets a cut, and then as a scientist plants made a copy of him, very kid like but actually fascinating in ways. And it's very deep for a kids show as well. For example when he is in the Bathroom.

Acting

Good but yea not the best. The kids acting was pretty good tbh for kids. They did a great Job.

Drama

It's a little dramatic the way the kids act, they act suspicious for most of its run time. It feels wasted because of that. I can still admire the work.

CGI

Not great but it's old and still holds strong today. The Fly doesn't so much in all honesty so it's alright.

And the mum is in this very little so if you wanna watch a parent and children based episodes I'd advise you to watch Horrorland, Slappy episodes all of them!

If I watched this as a child I would be terrified by the strangeness and creepiness found in this episode. Judging by the high rating of this, I'm assuming this is considered to be one of the best episodes of the series and I can see why. The plot is nothing overly original but it has its moments that make it memorable. Plants as monsters is not as common but R. L Stine makes it work in this story of science gone wrong.
