- In the beginning of the episode, Amanda looks up to the window and you see a person standing inside.
- When Amanda finishes writing in her diary she tells her mom goodnight, she then hears the the sound of window shades opening and closing. She goes over to the window to see a man standing behind the shades in the next room. She also sees a man walking behind her covered in a silhouette.
- You see a hand coming up out of a broken wooden board.
- You see a hand breaking though some plaster and you hear snarling.
- The town of Dark Falls is portrayed as very dreary, industrial and creepy.
- Many of the residents are depressed because of the closure of the town chemical plant.
- Several pale-looking children circle around Amanda and Josh in a threatening manner, holding up baseball bats.
- A girl with completely white eyes comes out of the closet at night. Amanda wakes up and sees her looming over the bed, warning Amanda to get out of Dark Falls while she can. Amanda's parents believe the girl to be a nightmare.
- A dead-looking man watches Amanda and Josh while they walk the family dog. He pulls the blinds down but continues to peep at them from between the closed blinds as they walk away.
