- The school works on a promo video and Rick persuades a shop to give him a bicycle in return for "product placement" in the video. Jacko tells Becky he doesn't have the money to go on holiday with her.
- Arnie's father shows Mr. Robson the glossy video presentation which St. Joseph's have made, urging him to do the same. Finding the professional costs prohibitive, Mr. Robson talks to the Sixth Formers, and gets them to do one, volunteering Joe in as Producer. Rick's clapped out old bicycle comes in for some stick. When he's round Arnie's house for tea, Arnie's father gives some advice to Jessica and Arnie about the school film they are working on. He suggests that they take a leaf out of the book of the big movie companies, and use product placement to raise money. The idea lodges in Rick's head as a way of getting a better bike - he makes an agreement with the local bike shop to get a new bike. He pays only £50 on the understanding that the bike shop will get lots of publicity from being included in the video. Thereafter, Rick promotes the bike shop and his new bike whenever the camera is in view. End of term letters are handed out - Lucy storms off when she sees hers is addressed to her late mother. Dennis has angry words with Mr. Robson, but it's a bad time - the camera is currently rolling on Mr. Robson. Jacko doesn't seem to share Becky's enthusiasm for their camping holiday together. Later, he tells her that he's not got the holiday money, but he can't tell her what he spent the money on. She tells him that she'll go on holiday without him. Lucy is in the room when the video of Mr. Robson talking to Dennis is being edited and she sees how Dennis supported her. Lucy can't find his pebble, but she gives him her pencil case, and is happy to have him as a friend, but only that. Mr. Robson has a meeting to discuss the video - he's not happy with any of it - especially with Mr. Hankin's experiment going wrong, and footage of Julie's rebellious protest. While he makes a start on a fresh video, with a formal approach, Joe and Jessica decide they'll use their parents' equipment to make a rival documentary. Seeing the current version of the school video doesn't actually feature the bike after editing, Rick is beginning to despair though Alicia shows an interest in his highly customized bike as they leave school. When Rick passes by the bicycle shop, the owner calls him over. The owner has still seen no sign of the promised video promotion, and wants his bike back now!—Geffers
