Dominique!

This episode was remarkably better than the first two, Dominique is amazing. The storyline was well developed and the acting felt authentic.

[8.5] The "invisible" emetics

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 3: Genuine acting, dangerously thrilling atmosphere and events, a bit unrealistic when the hellish trio left them in the house all by themselves to attend to their planned "salto move" trip and selfishly thought of themselves as untouchables, who knows?!

The 'x months later', 'y months earlier' duo is starting to show their unpleasant messed-up vibe, as the flashbacks / flashforwards happen at least 5 to 6 times per episode and beautifully contribute to trampling down on nerves and amplifying confusion.

It is starting to drag a little and be sort of repetitive only to develop properly and acquaint the viewers on all the events and happenings that took place in that ~12 month period and though a little frustrating, is nothing that a good rest and paying extra attention won't solve.

Nadine and Remi are in dangers and it'd be very interesting to see how they'd evade their "captors".

This episode saved the show

This episode is miles ahead of the first two. The first two episodes are fast paced with a slow developing plot and never-ending time jumps. While this episode doesn't cut down on the time jumps, it does amplify the intensity and has acting that feels much more authentic.

Dominique is the best character of the show so far and the actor portraying him did an excellent job. The neighbors getting fleshed out more also adds to the plot.

It is tough to grade the show so far as I know it needs to set itself up and explain the location and time these people lived in, but this episode was an easy 8.5/10.

The most intense episode ever!

This episode was a sure eleven out of ten! Started off being extremely boring and slow paced and ended up forcing the audience at the edge of the seats.

One of the best episodes ever made, very well directed.

Episode 3

Warning: Spoilers
Herman Knippenberg discovers when he interviews another couple that there might have been more victims of Charles Sobhraj.

Nadine Gires was someone who attended parties thrown by Sobhraj and noticed how so many people became ill.

Nadine and her husband Remi recount a story of how they tried to help a young Frenchman Dominique Renelleau escape from the clutches of Sobhraj.

He too had fallen ill but recovered when he stopped taking the medicine that Sobhraj had given. He noticed that his passport was being used by Sobhraj and feared for his own safety.

There was a tense sequence as Nadine and Remi, alter Dominique's passport and forge a visa as Dominique plans to leave for France. Although the passport bit was reminiscent from a scene in the movie The Killing Fields.
