Ms. Darin Wattanasin: [serving tea to Mr. Supot] I have some good tea leaves, so I want to make a cup for you to mark the occasion of my first day of work.
Mr. Supot Chueamanee: Thank you.
[Mr. Supot lifts the teacup and cautiously smells its contents]
Mr. Supot Chueamanee: You did a good job today in your speech.
[Ms. Darin's smile widens]
Mr. Supot Chueamanee: But to be frank, I don't think you're here to improve the school.
[Ms. Darin's smile slightly drops]
Mr. Supot Chueamanee: Mr. Pichet sent you here to do something that even I can't know about.
[Mr. Supot sets the teacup down]
Mr. Supot Chueamanee: No matter how many years have passed, the Ministry is still full of secrets.
Ms. Darin Wattanasin: Secrets are the only weapons ordinary people like us can have. What else do I, an ordinary person, have to go up against your potential?
Mr. Supot Chueamanee: [chuckles] Based on your family background, I don't think calling yourself an ordinary person is a right word.
Ms. Darin Wattanasin: If only I could trade, I'd choose your potential over my lineage in a heartbeat.
Mr. Supot Chueamanee: That wouldn't be a worthy trade. You may have forgotten that assets and social status can be passed on to the next generation, but the potential that I have and the body of knowledge that I've collected over the past 30 years will be gone the moment I die.
