Warning: Spoilers
I saw this fifteen minute short packaged along with a 2008 Cannes Film Award winner called "Eldorado". It's inconceivable to me whether or not the film maker had any idea or message that was meant to be conveyed, as the story involves a couple of high school girls who follow a teenage male stranger from a train on the presumption that he stole one of their cell phones. In a repeat scenario to close out the story, the original victim Rosa, surreptitiously acknowledges her being 'sprung' on the juvenile delinquent, even as he commits a similar crime. The only reason I'm even offering a review of this short is my amazement over the ubiquitous presence of Coca-Cola in the early part of the story. Coca-Cola! Does product placement and commercialism now find itself intruding even into fifteen minute independent movie shorts? I just had to shake my head.
