Wonderful.

Oliver Barker, a powerful, and influential food critic with the power to make or break a business dies in dramatic fashion, but was it murder or an accident?

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode, not a single episode in this second series has disappointed so far, and this, is possibly the best of the trio thus far.

A clever mystery, one with lots of suspects, all of whom have reasonable motives, a good mix of funny and serious.

Those who enjoy a bit of eye candy won't be disappointed, you have the sensational Inés, and the even more sensational Max, who hurtles around with vigour. Those who prefer the scenery will be treated to the sun kissed majesty of Mallorca, the final scene is jaw dropping.

My plan to watch those episodes sparingly is working out, once again, an absolute joy to watch. 9/10.

A Dish Served Cold

A gourmet guide to Mallorca after the death of an infamous food critic Oliver Barker.

He drops dead while eating in a Michelin starred restaurant.

He was poisoned and the staff of the restaurant are in the frame as well as the people Barker was dining with. Barker seemed to have a history with various people are rubbed them up the wrong way.

A good episode with a lot of possible suspects and running around for Max and Miranda.

Easier for Miranda to chase suspects as Max is a foodie and seems to have eaten too many unhealthy meals.

Watching this gave me a craving for Sobrasada

Warning: Spoilers
I loved watching Mallorca Files, not least because I have been living in Palmanova, Mallorca for 15 years

This episode was one of my favourites from Season 2

Believe it or not, after watching this, I bought a Sobrasada Dulce - a few days later I bought a Sobrasada Picante - I'd had Sobrasada from a tub, but never a Sobrasada sausage

If you see it in your local supermarket or online - treat yourself ...... Sobrasada spread on toast and topped with a fried egg is my Saturday night treat

Action, comedy and a perfect ending - and more adventure - all in a 45 minute episode. You cannot expect better. For me, the finest Mallorca Files episode yet. The acting was spot on too.
