Tessa Marchetti, the love child of Louis Tobin and Adrienne Marchetti, who are both dead, is the center of this episode. There are tussles going on between the DA's office and Patty Hewes, with Ellen stuck in the middle. She is playing both sides against each other. She is also in a difficult family thing where her sister has been selling meth and is now on the verge of going to prison. Tessa may or may not know the score (probably not) but she lied about her whereabouts on Thanksgiving night, having been with her mother, who was being supported by Tobin. Joe has moved in in an effort to be in control of things. Meanwhile, we know from flash forwards that Tom is dead, but we continue to watch him tugged back and forth as he tries to recoup the money that he lost for himself and his family. One other factor that is taking place is Winstone's evil father who thinks he sees a good thing with his "connected" son. There is some extortion in the works. Winstone is a complex nutcase with needs to be cuddled. I can't cover everything, so check out the cool synopsis that is featured here.
