The problem with repeating a title
Michael Raven rather foolishly used this "Girl Talk" title a second time after previously shooting a Jessica Drake film for Sin City, recycling the moniker for a typical Kirsten Price rom-com once he had moved to Wicked Pictures. Plenty of confusion has resulted, with the fact that Drake also moved from Sin City to Wicked Pictures not helping matters.
I bought a copy of the original 2002 Jessica Drake/Sin City film on DVD, and the DVD is clearly labeled Sin City, yet it contains the later Kirsten movie for Wicked on it, which I also own with the proper Wicked Pictures label. So it looks like I will never see Raven's earlier version, and am currently trying to fix the database which likewise has garbled the two entries.
All this ado about next to nothing, as the Kirsten Price vehicle is lame. It concerns four femme roommates, who have flashbacks of sex scenes with mainly unsuitable guys, and predictable and rather uninteresting romantic complications. A couple of other gals, played by Tiffany Sweet (she gets a lesbian scene with Kirsten) and Anita Blue as "the other woman" caught in the act by star Lindsey Meadows are thrown in for sex filler.
Raven follows the Old School method of sex scenes that do not run on and on like today's half-hour vignettes, so he manages to pack in six XXX segment in just an hour and a half running time. But this souffle evaporates almost immediately after watching, though I have two copies for posterity.
