A good second episode.

Tom continues to hunt down Goliath, he pursues every possible lead, and thinks he's tracked down a vital clue.

I'll be honest, I needed to watch it twice, the first time I watched it, I was slightly bewildered, and a bit confused. Second time round, I read a synopsis first, and thoroughly enjoyed it, some of the loose strands made sense.

Incredibly well made, it's slick and boasts terrific production values. Nesbitt continues to impress, and the landscapes continue to stun.

If you want some casual viewing, avoid this one, but if you're in the mood for some deep, intriguing drama, it's very good, and as for that ending! 7/10.

Warning: Spoilers
The first episode took a while to spring to life.

The second starts with the discovery of three bodies on an island. Maybe they were the victims of the assassin Goliath.

For Brannick he might have finally found his wife. She might be dead but at least he has closure.

Elsewhere Pat Keenan the former IRA gunman is keeping schtum to the police about his ordeal. He has his own plans to get revenge on the people who abducted him.

Yet someone seems to be targeting Brannick as his daughter gets abducted after a rugby match but then thrown out of the back of a van.

Somehow the episode was simmering but not that exciting. Something about the episode did not gel. Too much technical stuff regarding the Good Friday Agreement that impeded the investigations of some older crimes.

The ending though looked like a game changer, a bolt out of the blue as Adam Cory confronts Brannick.

Hopefully now Bloodlands will shift up several gears as it really needs a change of pace.
