Bad English Translation
jrweyrich23 September 2008
The English subtitles were incoherent on this DVD. It appears there was no review by the distributors of the DVD. Too bad--as the visual look and cast were attractive. It would have been nice to understand what the actors were trying to convey. It would be interesting to know what Korean speakers thought of this movie. It has a fairly well known cast--successful in previous films. Uhm Jung Hwa, who co-starred with Daniel Henney in "Seducing Mr. Perfect", is one of the female leads. She appears to have made a nice transition from pop singer to actress. Park Yong Woo from "World of Silence" and Lee Dong Gun of "My Boyfriend is Type B", play the two male leads. Han Chae Young of "Wild Things" rounds out the cast as the other female lead. Hopefully, a re-release of the DVD with a better translation is in the works. As an English speaker who really enjoys Korean films, this was a very frustrating experience.

Loved this Beautiful film
ineedausername5 November 2008
A friend recommended this film to me and I thank her for that. The visual are amazing and loved the way such a predictable script is made so interesting, well the name of the movie gives it all away. But thats not a bad thing. I normally don't watch a lot of romantic films, and when I do I usually fast forward through the mushy stuff, But this film was different it made me watch it. Even the sex scene is so beautiful, actually well placed and needed for this movie Loved the cinematography, the acting and the script execution. I would say the score (background) especially during the romantic part was a bit over bearing and lame. Some times silence speaks and conveys more than the music. Although at place other the the romantic scene it was alright. I would recommend this movie, just keep an open mind an plan to enjoy yourself.

Koreans - The best in film making!
lomovsky30 September 2008
I've watched sensual Korean love movies like 'Aein', 'An Affair' and 'Green Chair' and just recently 'Changing Partners'. Wow, i was wowed again by the Koreans! Hollywood never make movies/write stories like these. It's evident that the Koreans make their movies with full of heart, soul & wit. The cinematography,as usual, is beyond excellent. The best in the movie industry, in my opinion! I've watched too many great Korean movies that i'll now say, "THAT'S SO KOREAN!" whenever I see the great qualities in korean movies.

'Changing Partners', like the other (highly recommended) movies mentioned above, managed to go deeper with more meaning especially towards the end. Even the sex scenes are done well. I can just assume that if an American made this movie, it would not be as good.

But a movie wouldn't be great without good actors right??? Korean actors are really good! Spellbinding...they usually are!

Sophisticated drama

This is a sophisticated couples swap romantic dramedy. Things come together in a clever way like a good play. Good ending too with a tasteful feel good resolution . Felt like a Woody Allen show at times.
