Writethru, 11:20 Am Monday: Universal Pictures’ Fifty Shades Darker opened to less than the estimated $100 million-plus take with a $97.7M international debut, the fourth-biggest opening ever for an R-rated film behind its predecessor Fifty Shade Of Grey, Deadpool and The Matrix Revolutions. Christian Grey is many things. One could even make the argument that he's 50 different things. However, one of his definite traits is his Type A personality. The man is meticulous, and his suits are always clean (unlike his habits). In a new Fifty Shade of Grey teaser, we get a peek at Christian's pristine closet as he gets ready for work. And once again, a Fifty Shades teaser is full of Beyoncé. This time, Mr. Grey is "Haunted." Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters Feb. 13, 2015.

Scarlett Johansson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and a Jason Wu-clad Julianne Moore braved the rain in NYC to attend the Big Apple premiere of their newest flick, Don Jon, which was sponsored by Entertainment Weekly. Scarlett wore a Roland Mouret dress as she mingled with her costars on the carpet and flashed her stunning new engagement ring. Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson made her first red carpet appearance since announcing that she was slated to star in Fifty Shade of Grey and happily posed for photos with her mom, Melanie Griffith. The cast of Don Jon has been busy promoting their new project for the past week as they also debuted the flick at the Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday. We were live on the scene to talk to the stars of the new movie, including Joseph, who gave us some interesting insight into his and Scarlett's determination to make her character into a well-rounded person.

British director Sam Taylor-Johnson is chosen to bring El James' Fifty Shades Of Filth to the big screen...
Universal is continuing to press ahead with its adaptation of El James' Fifty Shades Of Grey, a film that, 20 years ago, would surely already have Michael Douglas locked and loaded in its cast.
As it stands, Universal has been investing steadily in the movie, hiring Kelly Marcel to pen a script. The internet has then helpfully taken over, by linking a whole host of people with the lead two roles. Given that whoever's cast is going to spend the best part of two hours on screen in, er, 'quite intimate company' with each other, the interest in it seems higher than usual.
Whilst casting is still up in the air, one piece of the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie jigsaw has been resolved. Sam Taylor-Johnson has...

Titan Books just released Fringe - The Zodiac Paradox, which is a prequel novel to the "Fringe" television show focusing on the characters William Bell and Walter Bishop as they face off against the Zodiac Killer.
Now check out the finer details of the book in our interview with author Christa Faust.
Amanda Dyar: Tell us about yourself and how your writing career got started.
Christa Faust: I'm an ex-pat New Yorker living in the strange land of Los Angeles with my Boston Terrier Butch and way too many vintage paperbacks. I'm primarily a crime fiction writer with a hardboiled pulp sensibility, but I got my start in horror back in the early 90s. I've published a dozen novels, both original and tied into a variety of television shows and movies, including the award winning novelization of Snakes on a Plane. I love my job. To tell the truth,...

Earlier this week, a woman may have named her baby Hashtag, and today BabyCenter has released a naming survey that provides a modicum of support for her choice. Along with their list of the top baby names and trends of 2012, the website asked members what quality they value most in a name and 20 percent said uniqueness. To that end, new moms and dads sought out baby name inspiration in trendy, but still unexpected, places like "Fifty Shade of Grey," politics and, yes, technology.
The most popular choices for boys and girls’ names -- a.k.a., examples of what not to name your baby if you want to be original -- are very similar to last year’s list. Out of 450,000 babies born to BabyCenter members, there are still enough Sophias and Aidens to keep those names in the No. 1 spots. The only new girls’ name to appear in the top 10 is Mia at No.
