Despite the fact of a limited production budget, this film still managed to use a high-end film camera equipment and hired an A-List Malaysian top actor and actress. The whole team of ESCAPE agreed for a low-rate payment because they believed in this unbelievable good and one-of-a-kind story line that has never been done in Malaysia yet.
ESCAPE is Ikhwansha Hazer's feature film directorial debut.
The idea of making this film came from Ikhwansha Hazer's interest in one-location kind of movie like Buried,Brake, 12 Angry Men, and Devil.
The Film Censorship Board of Malaysia decided not to cut a single shot/scene in this film because they didn't want to spoil the story line, although this film contains a couple of violence scene that never been portrayed in Malaysian cinema before.
This film supposed to be released on the 26th March 2020 but has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
