Haywire is the forth episode of Superman and lois' first season, it's the first to be directed by James Bamford and he has been with the Arrowverse since Arrow where he started as a stunt coordinator and became a director and producer of that show, he has directed multiple of Arrowverse and it's nice to see him on this TV series. He knows how to direct action sequences and this episode has that plus many great character interactions and development.
The story continues where the previous episode left off, Lois investigating Morgan Edge and Clark Kent being a father to his sons after being absent but they finally understand the reason.
Superman and Lois gets better and better, the focus of world building and character development is a big reason for that. An old foe makes a return in this episode, Thaddeus Killgrave which in the comics are a minor Superman villain. Nothing mind blowing, he isn't a villain of the week, but a tool for character development. It's a villain that Superman have already beaten. This episode felt nostalgic to the Smallville show which I love.
Well shot and brilliant storytelling, there weren't really anything bad with the episode. For a Superman show, this is probably a nine. Morgan Edge is turning out to be a fantastic villain for the show, honestly not the one I expected for a season long villain but I see and understand why they went down this road. It's a great story arc that fits ik what place the Kent family is right now.
