Sex & Nudity

  • There are a few in-game advertisements such as posters that show women in bikinis.

Violence & Gore

  • This game is a First-Person-Shooter where the player takes the role of elite military soldiers to stop terrorist threats. Needless to say, gameplay is going to consist of almost constant violence. Players will end up killing hundreds of virtual enemies. That said, most of this violence is not too graphic. Blood is present throughout the game but there is no gore whatsoever.
  • Whenever an enemy is shot, a moderate amount of blood will briefly splatter and could stain the environment. The dead bodies never show any serious signs of trauma.
  • There are lots of explosions in this game, via grenades or other weapons. But there is never any gore if the enemy is caught in the blast.
  • Some of the missions are hostage rescues. If the player does not complete the objective, the hostages will be executed by the terrorists. It is not intense, but is fairly bloody and may disturb some viewers.
  • The most violent element in the game is when the player uses incendiary grenades to kill enemies. The enemies are shown screaming in pain as they burn to death. It's rather disturbing.
  • Parents do note that while the violence features lots of killing and can get disturbing, the enemies that the player kills are terrorists. If they are not stopped, many innocent people will die, so the player's actions are justified by the noble means behind it.

Profanity

  • There is a considerable amount of swearing in this game, but not to excess. There are some uses of "Fuck", "Shit" and some other, milder language.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • If a teammate is ever injured, the player will have to inject them with some kind of medical agent. What the injection is is not specified.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One notable scene in the game shows a man being boiled alive by an experimental device known as a micropulse bomb. This scene is only a pre-rendered video, but can be quite gruesome to some.
  • Some of the violence in the game gets fairly intense. In particular, the image of enemies burning alive after using an incendiary grenade may frighten some players.
  • If the player fails to rescue a hostage, that hostage will be executed by a terrorist by being shot in the head. Some players may be disturbed by this and there is some blood involved.
  • This game's content is standard for an M-rated First-Person-Shooter. It's violence and language makes Rainbow Six: Vegas inappropriate for younger audiences, but keep in mind that the game is about killing terrorists so as to save the lives of the innocent. This game does glorify military violence, but it is "anti-terrorism", so the player's actions are justified by the motivations behind it.
