THE! review.

I own this game for PC, PS3, XBOX, AND PSP. So I can thoroughly speak for each version. Hands down the best version is the PC, but this was back when I was a PC gamer, and was used to the mouse and keyboard. The Xbox and ps3 versions are pretty similar, but the ps3 doesn't come with trophies. I do prefer controllers over keyboards just because it allows for easy use of the buttons. If I had to compare it to another game, it would be similar to Brothers in arms, minus the weapons sway. To this day, I still consider this game to be one of the best first person shooters of this generation.

I do enjoy using the squad commands, it adds more strategy to the game. I love the selection of weapons at your disposal, it has some of my favourite weapons. I've played through the entire single player twice, it doesn't have much replay value there. The terrorist hunt missions are my favourite, I played it more than the story mode. It simple, customize your load out and difficulty, pick a map, and eliminate all enemies. These can be a lot of fun, but do offer quite a bit of challenge. One wrong move, and it's back to the start. I only played a little bit of the multiplayer, it's pretty standard, but requires more of a strategy and team work. The graphics looked good way back when, but don't hold up as well.

The best part about this game is it's cheap now, if you can find it, buy it.

Rainbow six Vegas..roll the dice and join the fun.

I got a few xbox360 games for xmas. Call of duty 4 was one, Halo 3 was the other and Rainbow Six Vegas was the last one. It took me a while to play it but when i did boy was I blown away. This was much better than i'd thought it would be. The physics are brilliant i love how i can map my own face to the character in the multiplayer section, it adds a touch of realism and depth to it. I wish that all games were like this. Adding yourself as the character brings out a whole new world and also brings a 4th dimension to the gameplay. I got so wrapped up in the game that i just blanked out the rest of the world as enjoyed being my digital counterpart of the duration of the game. Fun isn't the word i would use to describe it, totally adrenaline rush is what i would call it as you are constantly on your feet shooting at terrorists that have targeted you and ready to eliminate you at the first available opportunity. The sequel is going to have this again but this time you will be able to put yourself in THE ACTUAL STORY. Can't wait to play it. If you are like me and hate terrorists then this is the perfect game for you, you will be ridding the world of a hell of a lot of them. Be warned though, they are very cunning and could be lurking in that dark space behind you so always be ready and keep your eyes peeled for them. Good luck in the fight.

Best Rainbow Six Game Ever?
abbiekuz3 November 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Rainbow Six: Vegas is fantastic, from beginning to end. I got this game for my PlayStation 3 last year and it look me a long while to beat. I hadn't really played a Rainbow Six game since Rogue Spear. I especially like the cover system, rappel, and helicopter sequences.I have not played this game online, but the single player alone is awesome enough. The game is worth buying. The best parts were casino missions. (The Vertigo Casino is my favorite, rappeling down the side of the building and breeching in and into a heavy gunfight). I recommend this to anyone into first-person shooters. I have to say, though,it is VERY, and I mean VERY hard. I am on my second play-through and really struggling. I will not mention the story as I do not want to spoil anything for those who have not yet experienced it. It is a lot better than Call of Duty 4 in my opinion. The graphics are good but the replay value is not as worthwhile as the sequel. Try it even if you're not familiar with the Rainbow Six series. Besides the online and story mode, there is also "Terrorist Hunt." This is a recommendation that you try Terrorist Hunt if you are new to Rainbow Six. I'll give it a solid 10 out of 10 for excellence!
