This is the season 5 debut as well as the tenth half-hour mission of The Kids Next Door. This was a great episode. In addition to great action, it showcases fictional politics at its most entertaining.

Numbuh One was sure that he was going to be elected fourth grade president, but it instead went to The Delightful Children From Down The Lane. While in a life-sentence of detention, Numbuh One finds out that The Delightful Children tricked the secretary into fudging the results. As the president(s), they plan to turn the grades against each other and they are in cahoots with the eighth graders. They are dependent that the eighth graders will destroy the KND for good.

After witnessing the travesty of a presidential election this past year, it was a lot of fun to watch politics done the KND way. The way the story and the villains' evil plan unfolded keeps you interested.

Numbuh One reminds me why he's my favorite KND character by showing a lot of guts and brains to save Gallagher Elementary. There were some terrific action scenes, too. The sequence where Numbuh One escapes detention using gum like Spider-Man webs was cool, and the climax with all of Gallagher at a war against the big kids was one of the fastest and most entertaining action scenes in the whole series.

However, the ending kind of left a bad taste in the mouth. After all Numbuh One went through, he finds out that the real fourth grade president is Eggbert Eggelston. Not helping is the fact that his sector were some of the people who voted for him.

Overall, this was still another great KND adventure. With an interesting election plot line and a fantastic climax, this is definitely worth checking out.
