Lousy and uninvolving

Chanel Preston is the common factor in this Sweet Sinner series, long on complications but short on quality.

She's a character who is very unappealing, not a villainess but just annoying. Nobody likes her, as demonstrated at the outset by her finding her car (in footage from the last episode) covered in angry graffiti.

She's not the only mistress here, as the private investigator (London River) who she hired to spy on her ex-husband Chad White to see if he's cheating on his new young wife Emma Hix turns out to be sleeping with him on the job.

Chad's current husband Damon Dice is subjected to verbal abuse by Chanel for being too nice and predictable, so, in the movie's least plausible plot twist, he takes a mistress (Alana Cruise) to convince Preston he's worthy of being her husband.

Not to be outdone, Chanel seduces her therapist, Jay Smooth.

It's left open-ended, with Preston returning in a Volume 4.
