Turntable ferries were unique to Scotland, and though had a short lifespan of around 65 years, played an important part in the growth of Scotland's economy and communities. But they have been largely overlooked in their importance as part of Scotland's history. This film sets out to find the last three ferries that operated at Ballachulish, the first and busiest of all the 11 crossings operated in Scotland, after they were displaced in 1975 by the opening of the bridge there. Full of intrigue and mystery, passionate anecdotes, emotional roller coaster, and a love that goes beyond just mere admiration of vehicle ferries, this film will leave you with a fondness for these amazing little vessels.
