Curiosity Boils the Ingredients and Chills the Glass Palace
WeatherViolet18 August 2010
First, in the City, Curious George ventures from Building 7, in the first series outing not to feature the Man with the Yellow Hat, as Curious George investigates aromas.

After stopping by the fruit market to smell the products, Curious George visits Miss Donuts, where Mrs. D. permits him to experience the aroma of freshly-fried dough-nuts.

But when Curious George follows Gnocchi, Chef Pisghetti's pet Cat, into Chef Pisghetti's kitchen, Curious George attempts to figure how hard spaghetti turns soft when boiling.

Well, as it happens, an overly demanding female Famous Restaurant Critic visits Chef Pisghetti's Restaurant to critique his cuisine, and so Chef Pisghetti takes special precautions in preparing his finest biscuits, spaghetti and cookies.

While Chef Pisghetti serves Famous Restaurant Critic the freshly-baked bread, Curious George accidentally knocks one pan of spaghetti into the sink, and so he experiences with the second pan which boils across the kitchen.

Curious George discovers that spaghetti, indeed, changes when boiling, and so he adds eggs, eggplant, Swiss cheese, onion, lots of sugar, tomatoes, potatoes, asparagus, the spoon, and a recipe into the pan.

In the process, Curious George discovers that asparagus softens in boiling water, while eggs harden, yet cheese melts, and sugar dissolves.

But what will Famous Restaurant Critic and Chef Pisghetti have to say about the results once "Curious George Takes a Job?"

Next, the Doorman and Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund greet Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat as they exodus Building 7 one morning.

Curious George returns alone to Chef Pisghetti's kitchen, at which Chef Pisghetti informs him that his friend Mr. Glass needs to hire a window washer who is able to climb Mr. Glass' Glass Palace Apartment Building to clean its windows by 2:15 PM.

Well, Curious George is able to scale tall buildings, and so he swings from a rope to spray and to squeegee the exteriors of Glass Palace's high-rise windows, into which Curious George watches in various apartments, a baby being fed spinach, Hammy the Hamster's running from his caregiver, and a reading room, inside which someone wearing eyeglasses finds it too dark to read.

After Curious George attempts to solve some of these problems, he notices a room in which a team of painters covers furniture, causing Curious George to delight, as this illusion takes on the appearance of a collection of animals in silhouette.

Well, as the painters exodus the apartment to consult Mr. Glass as to which color to paint its walls, Curious George enters to create his rendition of his natural habitat, complete with jungle flora and fauna, by painting walls, furniture, drop-cloths and just about everything in his path.

So, how will the painters and Mr. Glass react upon their return into the apartment? And will the Man with the Yellow Hat, who reads the headlines which somehow immediately appear in a special newspaper edition, arrive into the street below to catch the little monkey after "Curious George Takes Another Job?"
