I guess the international title for this film might be: "Saint Nicholas and the secret of the big book", or to convert it to children's friend he has become in other parts of the world: "Santa Claus and the secret of the big list". This Dutch children's film is typical in many ways: it offers a bit of tension and then slowly works towards a solution that will end good for all involved, with the sole exception of a couple bad people.
It all starts when the Saint drops off a roof and ends up in a hospital. An evil persons plans starts to work and soon the children's friend forgets who he is and why he is here and is tricked into stepping down and letting someone else take over. And while everyone sees that that is a bad plan it happens anyway and the chaos grows bigger by the second.
Since this is a children's film this all plays out very lightly and even the most evil person is a sweet bunny compared to normal films. The story line is rather shallow and complemented by a lot of small jokes for the kids and a number of smart remarks that keep the parents laughing, and that's a good trait for a film like this.
