Quotes
-
Jack : [meeting Alfie, a small excavator] I'm Jack. I'm here to help.
Alfie : More help means more dirt, more dirt means more fun. I'm Alfie.
[while Jack and Alfie are at work, a dump truck named Max races by blowing dust and dirt all over Alfie]
Alfie : MAX!
Jack : So *that's* Max. Thomas was right. He IS trouble.
Alfie : [Max races straight toward Jack] Look out, Jack!
Narrator (UK & US) : Max stopped just in time. Jack refused to move.
Jack : Stop bullying!
Max : Can't you take a joke?
[Max races away]
-
Narrator (UK & US) : [last lines; after Jack had jumped in and got into an accident] Miss Jenny was pleased Jack wasn't hurt, but she was disappointed.
Miss Jenny : Safety first means you don't jump in where you don't belong.
Jack : [sadly] I'm sorry, Miss Jenny.
Miss Jenny : Maybe you're not ready for the Pack. We'll see if you can do better tomorrow.
Isobella : [seeing Jack looking sad] You're a good front loader.
Alfie : And a good friend.
Thomas : Being a good friend is important.
Narrator (UK & US) : That made Jack feel just a bit better.
-
[first lines]
Narrator (UK & US) : It was a tingly spring morning on the Island of Sodor. Thomas was excited. Sir Topham Hatt had sent him to collect a special from Jenny Packard.
Miss Jenny : [as Thomas arrives] Spot on, Thomas! You'd make a mother proud!
Thomas : Thanks, Miss Jenny.
[looks at Jack the Front Loader on a flatbed]
Thomas : Is this my special?
Miss Jenny : *Very* special.
Jack : I'm Jack the Front Loader. I can load and unload and carry lots of things.
Thomas : I can haul and shunt.
Miss Jenny : [laughs] And I can get you two chatterboxes off to the quarry.
