Sex & Nudity

  • There are a few slightly passionate kisses between men and women.
  • In the first episode Moist Von Lipwig takes a bath and you can see his glorious naked chest, but nothing else.

  • Many murders are shown, but in such a way that there is no gore and little blood. A man is hanged by the government (Lord Vetinari), and later, a man is hanged by the government. Other murders involve falling from heights, clubbing, and swords.
  • Crossbows bolts are shot at people, and crossbows are used to threaten people.
  • A man who has been murdered is dragged down stairs, unseen in a rolled up carpet.
  • Suicides are implied in flashbacks, but the actual events are never shown.

Profanity

  • "Dammit" a couple of times.

  • Likely alcoholic beverages are consumed socially. Inebriation is not shown.
  • One character smokes cigarettes repeatedly throughout the show. She is shown starting as a response to emotional trauma, and there are multiple reference to it being bad for her health.

  • Younger viewers might be frightened by ghost-like scenes, by various murders, by people being hanged by the ruling dictator, and various scenes of peril.
