Mumbai, Aug 17: Actress Amrita Rao is satisfied that she has got the chance to work under some big banner films without having any "filmy" backgorund.
"Being from a non-filmy family, I have done all good films and all A-plus category directors came my way. I am thankful to have been a part of these films," said the 32-year-old.
After "Main Hoon Na" and "Vivah", Amrita's last memorable role was in 2008 "Welcome to Sajjanpur". After that, most of her films, like "Shortkut - The Con Is On", bombed at the box office.
Although she couldn't make a mark for herself in showbiz like other actresses, she has no complains.

Sacha Baron Cohen's hit movie Bruno is dominating on both sides of the Atlantic - it has knocked Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs off the top of the U.K. box office charts following a similar feat in the U.S.
The comedy, based on Cohen's outrageous gay Austrian fashionista, took nearly $7.5 million (£5 million) in its first weekend, while the third instalment of the Ice Age franchise followed closely behind with $7.1 million (£4.8 million).
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which was officially named the biggest film of 2009 so far last week, came in at number three with $2.2 million (£1.45 million), while The Hangover took $1.8 million (£1.23 million).
Johnny Depp's Public Enemies rounded out the top five, grossing $1.6 million (£1.04 million).

As per Arshad Warsi, when Hulchul was narrated to him, he was put under the impression that he would be reprising a role similar to that of Akshay Kumar in Hera Pheri. While Akshaye Khanna (now his co-star in Shortkut - The Con Is On) was supposed to be playing a simpleton in the Priyadarshan directed film, Arshad was promised that he too would have an equally promising role. ''I learnt my lesson soon after'', Arshad can afford to laugh now, ''I realized that being 'one of the...

Shortkut - The Con is on, stars Akshaye Khanna as a struggling writer, Arshad Warsi as King Kumar and Amrita Rao in a glamorous new avatar. Can the movie produced by Anil Kapoor, written by Anees Bazmee and directed by Neeraj Vohra (Phir Hera Pheri), appeal to the masses?

Today, Amrita Rao is finding quite some admirers coming her way, courtesy her new look in Shortkut - The Con Is On. Even though director Neeraj Vora has written for quite a few Priyadarshan films in the past, Anil Kapoor (who is the producer of Shortkut - The Con Is On) insists that Neeraj has brought in his own style to the film. For the uninitiated, Neeraj Vora (who in the past has also directed Phir Hera Pheri and Khiladi 420) has been the common factor amongst 90% of Priyadarshan hits. ''In fact instead of saying that you would see Priyadarshan touch in Shortkut - The Con Is On, I would...

Arshad Warsi, who is known for tickling audiences' funny bones as Circuit in the "Munnabhai" series, is turning into a fitness freak. "Running for 45 minutes every day is a must. I also see to it that I have balanced meals at regular intervals five times a day since it is not advisable to keep your stomach empty for long hours at a stretch. It's a different thing if you are on a fast," said Arshad in a press statement. The actor, whose latest flick "Ek Se Bure Do" has turned out to be a disaster, is now looking forward to "Shortkut - The Con Is On", Vishal Bharadwaj's "Ishqiyan" and his own home production "Kaun Bola".

Anil Kapoor's laughathon Shortkut - The Con Is On, directed by Neeraj Vora, is now arriving slightly later. No, there's no delay as such, but the reasons are entirely different. Initially slated for release on March 6, the release date has been shifted to April 3 because the makers and distributors [Studio 18] feel that the business might get affected in March due to school/college examinations, while April would witness the onset of summer vacations and is a more appropriate period for release.
