I love horse racing but this episode was "fair" at best, running somewhere between "place" and "out of the money." It's main story is about a horse owner who is shot to death in his luxury suite at the track. In a subplot, one of the people involved is an old CSI nemesis "Ivan Sarnoff" (Andrew Divoff).
In the end, when Ivan is taken away he tells Caine that problems in his CSI division have just begun. What exactly that means and what's his involvement, we don't know but surely trouble is ahead for some of the CSI team.
Anyway, the story involves race fixing, drugs, a crooked jockey, an obnoxious owner or two and a groom (someone who takes care of the horses and stalls) whom "Calleigh" seems to have hots for, which is not good news for "Eric."
