Youth is no excuse .

Not only the voice has accused the guests of murder ;but after they are punished ,a "moral" maxim appears on a TV screen .After they've searched and searched the island to find the hotel manager ,in vain ,in the first episode ,they conclude that the saboteur/murderer must be one of them ....which the cavernous voice ,which is more omnipresent than in the initial novel ,tells them so: "I am among you" .And of course ,there are ten big statuettes ,soon to be nine ...on an altar ,complete with candles

Bringing up to date the technology is legitimate ,in time of computers ,mobiles, TVs filming the guests' room ;but one wonders why with this sophisticated paraphernalia ,there's poison in water (fortunately there's a botanist in the group who puts the blame on a dangerous plant which causes death within minutes -poor dog!-)

The script drastically wanders from the novel when they find the dead body of the man who urged them to come to this mortal place (?)

This episode essentially focuses on the past of a guest who was considered a sissy by his school mates and who hated the leader of the pack : Russian roulette ,and scorpions (ouch!) are on the menu.

At noon, a helicopter is to come,to pick them up and to fly them away from this hell when thirst becomes a pivotal problem:but will it come?

The second installment is even more confused than the first one ;it's difficult to tell the characters apart ,and the self-indulgent lines do not help ,none of which was written by Mrs Christie.
