Marie has been released from prison and now she is working in the harvest of fruits in the south of France. In the village she meets Jaume, an former great ciyclist and painter. Marie wants that Jaume teach her painting, but in a first time Jaume doesn't have time for this teaching. So Marie insists, Jaume tells her that she is stubborn (tête de mule in French) and finally accepts to teach her painting. Marie's friend Julien doesn't understand the interest of Marie for painting, but she has decided to follow on her way. Jaume gives her a book in which he has written about painting and they have gone to a lake where Jaume explains his philosophy of painting. Jaume is having now loss of memory and Marie will try yto help him in this new situation.
