- A male teacher falls in love with a female student in his class, and immediately dumps his two current girlfriends. He later follows her and they talk in his apartment. She tells him she won't give in to their mutual attraction because his love will not be 'forever' and she leaves him.
- A plot point involves a letter which falls from a coat pocket in the theatre. It's found and there's some misinformation as to who wrote it and whom it was directed. It is passed around and many read it. The letter was written by a closeted gay male student to another gay male student with whom he had been having a secret affair. There are repercussions causing an attack in the classroom and a police arrest.

- A boy commits suicide by throwing himself off a balcony at school. You don't see him falling but he's shown lying on the floor with a pool of blood around his head.
