The telecast was live from New York and was sponsored by ''C.A. Swanson and Sons of Omaha, Nebraska, packers of America's best-known brand of canned and frozen poultry.''
The contestants were: Mr. Eddie ARCARO (same name as the jockey), Miss Lucille BALL (same name as the comedienne) and Mr. I. GARGLE. In the celebrity ''I'd Like to Be'' segment, actress Marilyn MAXWELL wished she was Little Red Riding Hood.
Moderator Robert Q. Lewis did a live PSA for United Cerebral Palsy.
Lewis mentioned that there was a story about ''The Name's the Same'' co-producers Mark Goodson and Bill Todman in the current issue of ''TV Guide'' magazine.
Lewis mused on-air after a live commercial featuring Swanson chicken being fried that he still wanted to know what happened to that fried chicken every week.
