- Still unaware that his girlfriend is a prostitute, Alex walks in on her in bed with disabled client Blake, and flounces out in disgust, seeking confirmation from Ben of what is going on. After Ben has put him wise he returns to her flat but walks out again, leaving her in tears.—don @ minifie-1
- Hannah wakes up in bed with Alex and resolves today will be the day. She will tell her boyfriend she's a prostitute.
She asks if he wants to come over to her place later. He'd love to but he has to work. He invites her to a weekend function for work. She says yes, maybe, but why don't they just wait and see.
Hannah chats up Ben as he golfs. He's still in a snit over their ruined lunch. She tells Ben she's going to tell Alex. She feels like the lying separates them. She doesn't know if she's going to quit working. She gets a call from a client. The first one in 10 days. In whore terms she's practically a virgin, she says.
She looks over recipes as she waits for her client. Alex texts to ask what her flat number is. She responds with a "see you tomorrow," then answers the door for her client: a young man in a wheel chair. And his dad. He's going to wait in the van downstairs. He puts his son on Belle's bed.
She locks the door behind dad as he leaves, but the client looks worried so she says she'll just leave it unlocked. No way that'll backfire.
She pours the boy some champagne and helps him drink it. Dad waits outside. Belle tries to reassure him. She touches him lightly and asks if she should take his shirt off. It's a tender hooker moment. She climbs on top of him and takes her dress off, her hands rubbing lightly over her body. But he says that seems like porn, so she quits and climbs off. He explains he had a girlfriend when he was 17, before his body stopped cooperating. She tries to make him comfortable, putting his MP3 player on. She starts kissing him and takes her clothes off. His body won't cooperate and he starts crying. He says being in love feels like something that happens to other people.
Outside, Alex walks up with a bouquet of flowers.
Upstairs, Belle and her client talk quietly until he's ready. And then he is. She climbs on and that's when Alex walks in. She hops off and yells at Alex to leave. The client yells for her to call his dad. She throws on a robe and grabs his cell phone, still trying to get Alex to leave. The kid babbles that she should have just said if it was over and she had another appointment. Alex, who was near the door, hears the word and turns around to face her.
He looks at her and then turns and leaves.
Then he finds Ben and confronts him, accusing Ben of knowing and laughing at him. Ben is surprisingly cool about it, explaining that there's Hannah and there's Belle. Alex remembers that that's how she introduced herself when they met. He now knows she thought he was a john.
He tells Ben what he walked in on. He waits for Ben to laugh. He doesn't. He tells Alex it's just a job, it's not who she is. Alex doesn't agree. He thinks it's disgusting. He asks Ben what's wrong with him that he thinks it's normal. Alex's phone rings. He doesn't answer Hannah's call.
Belle's door rings. It's the dad. The son left his MP3 player. He comes up to get it. She tries to give him the money back but he won't take it.
Alex and Ben share a beer. Alex asks if drugs is why she does it, but Ben says she's not like that. Alex asks how Ben would know, Ben's in love with her.
Hannah cries in the back of a cab. She pulls up to see them sitting there, their backs to her. She tells the driver to keep going. The cab drives around as tears run down Hannah's face.
Later that night, she lies in the dark and there's a knock at her door. It's Alex, with all of her stuff. He calls her Belle. He just wanted to see if it was true. He leaves.
