During the actual kidnapping, Nonato injured an extra crew member when he's firing at the cockpit's door. This third man, who was shot in the leg and survived, is not present in any of the film sequences.
The fighter jet depicted in the movie escorting the Flight 375 is a Northrop F-5EM Tiger II, a modernized version by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) that would only come to exist in 2001. The Tiger IIs in service of the FAB in 1988 were regular north-American F-5Es, but they would still not participate in the hijacking event as the actual fighter jet that escorted Flight 375 was a French Dassault Mirage III, at the time the most advanced fighter of the Brazilian Air Force.
