The 2023 Billboard Music Awards is being held today, November 19, and it’s not your typical awards show. This year, Billboard is featuring a revamped format.

The Billboard Music Awards are not going to be broadcast live on any TV channels. Instead, the event will be available to watch online at BBMAs.watch from 8 Pm Et/5 Pm Pt.
All the awards announcements will be on the Billboard and Billboard Music Awards social media channels, with some winners to be revealed from 5 Pm Et/2 Pm Pt.
You can also watch the Billboard Music Awards on the show’s official social media platforms: Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube.

David Guetta and Bebe Rexha have collaborated on a buoyant new single, “One in a Million.” The anthemtic, club-ready tune sees Rexha marveling at the existence of a significant other.
“You’re my one one one in a million/ It’s like someone picked you outta the sky,” she sings over the soaring beat. “Maybe I met you for a reason/ And I can’t believe that we’re both alive at the same time.”

Rhino has announced that it will reissue newly remastered versions of the late Christine McVie’s final two solo albums, Christine McVie and In the Meantime, on November 3rd.
Both albums will be available in CD, vinyl, and digital versions. In the Meantime will also feature a new Dolby Atmos mix. Pre-orders are ongoing.
Christine McVie was released in 1984 as the singer’s second solo full-length and featured the Top 10 hit “Got a Hold on Me.” In the Meantime arrived in 2004 as McVie’s first solo work since departing Fleetwood Mac and featured her final single, “Friend,” which reached No. 29 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
Separately, Mick Fleetwood has paid tribute to his bandmate on what would have been her 80th birthday with an instrumental version of “Songbird,” which McVie penned for Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 album, Rumours. Earlier this year, he decided to take on the track at the...

At Variety’s 10 Producers to Watch panel, held March 31 at the Sun Valley Film Festival, the first order of business was defining what it means to be a producer, a title — and a role — that encapsulates a number of responsibilities on a film.
“The way that I describe it is you’ve got to know a little bit about a lot of things in filmmaking,” said Rachael Fung, whose film “Fremont” later won best narrative film in the festival’s One in a Million category, recognizing features made for less than $1 million. “You’ve got to be able to understand and talk to every single person that touches the film at every single stage. And also it’s about finding those directors and filmmakers and understanding their vision and figuring out the best way to get that to screen.”
“There are practical things like getting money for the movie, casting,...

Some classic rock songs are just terribly racist. The fact that some of these classic rock songs got any airplay is upsetting. For example, John Lennon released a song that was supposed to be feminist but failed miserably.
John Lennon | Harry Benson / Stringer 5. John Lennon’s ‘Woman is the N-Word of the World’
According to a 1980 interview from the book All We Are Saying: The Last Major Interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono, John called “Woman Is the N-Word of the World” the first feminist song ever. That’s just false. He praises “Woman Is the N-Word of the World” for coming out before Helen Reddy’s “I Am Woman,” a song that aged far better.
In “Woman Is the N-Word of the World,” he’s definitely trying to speak about the oppression of women, but he repeatedly uses a slur to make his point. He never should have gone there.

Music icon Aaliyah released countless hits during her career and, for years, many of them weren't available to stream - until last August. For the first time since the early 2000s - with the exception of Aaliyah's debut album "Age Ain't Nothing but a Number" - all of the singer's music was released on streaming platforms, starting with her sophomore offering, "One in a Million," with her other works eventually arriving weeks later.
The gesture was announced just days before the 20th anniversary of her death on Aug. 25, 2001. Aaliyah's superstar success was, unfortunately, cut short when she and others died in a plane crash in the Bahamas a day after she shot her "Rock the Boat" music video. She was 22 years old.
To celebrate Aaliyah's legacy, excited fans long wished to stream her music online last year, but the back-and-forth battle between the late singer's...
