This fiction is more realistic than the movies that are supposed to describe historical facts, where the bad guys against the good guys are often presented in a non credible way.

A beautiful story that reminds us of the incineration of Algerians by the French colonizer while the latter denounces the Nazism suffered.

A masterpiece

I just watched it at the theatre, and I can tell you that everything was on point, the script, the wonderful music, the acting, the framing, none of the details has been missed. And above all, the movie approached a wound that is still bleeding in the heart of all algerians, very emotional !

A must watch !

Héliopolis was fantastic. I had no idea what it was about or what to expect but i was pleasantly surprised. Excellent writing, acting and direction.. Kept my attention throughout. Might be one of the best films if not the best film that I saw all year. It deserves a lot more attention.

As an Algerian film lover this movie made my heart warm, when i went to the theater knowing that i will watch a movie about such a memorable moment in the history of algeria i was waiting to see something different, something to be proud about and i found it , first the movie was very good to me from the direction of jaafar gacem to the script to the acting, but the story and the réalisation was something else , i couldn't stop the tears knowing that those pasific civilians will die without any kind of mercy , this movie made feel a log of sensation from anger to sadness to a dispointment , i wish will have more productions and movies like that , we deserve that ! Hope better for our country.

Congratulations .... i can say that is the best algerian movie ( sans oublier la bataille d'Alger) that could erase the shame of (papicha movie) ... i'm very proud of this realisation and success.

Continue comme ça jaafar kacem you're the best....
