CHAPPELLE IS THE G.O.A.T

No one can touch his tier of comedy. His comedy is the truth and perfection with every delivery. The Aunt jemima scene was hilarious as well. Laughed so much throughout the entire episode.

What was Dave on?

That opening monologue/stand-up had to be just about the most unfocused meandering I've ever seen from someone of his caliber. Also, virtually every sketch fell flat, even the usually reliable Kate McKinnon's Rudy G WU appearance went nowhere. There were moments, but I swear Chappelle was lethargic at best. Zero energy. A huge disappointment.

Another mediocre episode

I am really hoping that they can pull it together, it was all over the place again, and rarely funny.

Excruciating

Maybe I was too hard on John Mulaney last week -- he was definitely better than Dave Chappelle. Chappelle's monologue was tone deaf, completely unfunny and excruciatingly long. He acts like the audience should appreciate him just for being there -- even when he is talking about events that occurred months (or years) ago and other, better comedians have covered. It did set the tone for the entire show as the rest was pretty bad too. There are TWO black women in the cast who look more like Aunt Jemima, yet that role goes to Maya again. It was just bad overall. I'm not a Foo Fighters fan, but they were the best part of the evening.

Disappointing

I am a long time fan of Foo Fighters and Dave Chappelle, so was looking forward to this show. Foo Fighters basically did 2 ballads and they were OK but not rocking as they usually do.

Dave Chappelle was just bizarre, His monologue was 16 minutes long and was very uncomfortable, not just for me, but for the studio audience as well. Long stretches of silence and nervous laughter. It was not entertainment, it was an attempt at a lecture that didn't work. Why would I waste my time watching this?

There's a big difference between satire for the sake of entertainment versus a lecture on how to be woke. The show needs to decide which it wants to do.
