- With Christian learning that he only has six months to live, he proposes marriage to Liz to live out his last days in peace. Liz's overbearing mother arrives in town and immediately begins criticizing everything about the upcoming wedding and Liz, who asks for a breast reduction to fit into her family's wedding dress. Meanwhile, Christian hires the flamboyant Logan Taper as his replacement, but he brings an unusual and disturbing fetish with him. While Sean continues to enjoy his secret romance with Teddy, he and Christian are called upon by a former client, Allegra Caldarello, for plastic surgery per her dying husband's wishes.—Anonymous
- Open with Liz taking her mother's wedding dress out of storage. While Liz tries on the dress, Christian and Liz's mother, Mary Elle, have a drink in the kitchen. Mary Elle wonders about the real reason Christian is marrying her unattractive and recently-gay daughter. Christian doesn't mention his illness. Liz calls them in to her bedroom. It seems Liz is too "top-heavy" to fit into the dress. Not wanting to alter an antique, Liz tells Christian to put her on the schedule for a breast reduction.
Allegra Caldarello (who previously had lip reconstruction done by the guys) and her husband Manny sit down for a consultation. Manny wants Allegra to have major work done because he is dying of prostate cancer and thinks she needs the surgery to help land a new man after he's dead. They don't have a lot of savings and Manny believes her re-marrying after his death is the only way for her to live well.
In part so Liz will have more time to spend with Christian and Wilber, Liz and Teddy agree to share anesthesiologist duties. Teddy inquires about why Liz is now marrying a man.
During Liz's reduction Christian tells Sean it will be his last surgery. Though Sean seems comfortable with the idea, Christian is adamant that he be replaced in the practice. When Christian leaves the room Teddy tells Sean that he must come to terms with Christian's eventual death. "That's easy for you to say," Sean tells her. "He's my brother."
Christian interviews a potential male surgeon named Logan Taper. Logan seems to be a mirror image of Christian: Perfectionist, unmarried, loves chasing women. The new doctor seems particularly impressed with the furniture in Christian's office.
In an attempt to see how the two will mesh, Christian has Logan help perform Allegra's surgeries with Sean. The partnership seems to work, with the Logan asking to join Sean when he goes scouting for locations for Christian's bachelor party.
Sean and Logan go to a strip club and get a few lap dances. The experience reminds Sean of memories with Christian and he seems convinced he will never have the same relationship again. Logan makes a point to comment on the furniture in the strip club.
Christian and Mary Elle examine Liz's new chest. Liz is initially upset when she sees Christian has left her one cup size bigger than she wanted. Her anger disappears when Christian pulls out a fantastic brand-new wedding dress. Despite Mary Elle's guilt trip, it appears Liz will wear the new gown.
Logan is given the keys to Christian's office. After putting down a name plate and polishing the desk, Logan strips off all his clothes and rearranges the cushions on the couch. Christian and Sean walk into the office and find Logan furiously having sex with the couch. Logan tells them he struggles with a sexual disorder that causes him to form strong attachments to inanimate objects. Christian tells him to "get out."
While Sean examines Allegra's post-op progress Manny walks in with an older man. The man, their butcher back home, is Manny's choice for Allegra to marry after he dies. Allegra hates the idea, particularly because she is not fully healed. Manny tells her this "speeding up the process" is the only way he can have a say in the matter.
During her wedding shower Liz admits to her mother and friends that Christian has cancer and won't live more than another year. Mary Elle makes a remark that her marrying an attractive doctor now "makes sense." This sets Liz off on a tirade about how Marry Elle never really accepting her for who she really is. Liz thinks her mother never really loved her and tells Mary Elle she doesn't want her to be at the wedding.
Christian has his couch professionally cleaned. Logan shows up to collect his belongings and offers to pay for the cleaning. Logan asks the cleaner: "You aren't going to use any toxic chemicals on her are you?"
Allegra's surgeries seem to have been a success. Manny apologies to her and introduces a younger, better looking man. Allegra seems now to be okay with the idea: "Well, Manny, if it makes you happy." Allegra and the new man leave together arm-in-arm, walking past Logan having sex with the operating table.
Liz tells Christian that her mother is not being invited to the wedding. Christian suggests that Liz might need her after he is gone. "Maybe," she says while hugging Christian. "But I don't need her now. She's been replaced."
Teddy walks in on Sean tearfully looking at old videos of him and Christian. "Feels like I'm losing everyone," he tells her. "I promise you won't lose me," Teddy says.
