Strikes a chord with those who experienced Mormonism

Warning: Spoilers
If you grew up Mormon, I think you'll really enjoy this film as long as you've left the church. To those who are still in, you'll want to stay away unless you're very nuanced in your belief.

Really struck a chord with me on the story. My experiences with my own "little factory" as a Mormon missionary really made me feel a lot of shame and fear around the subject.

I would love to give it a higher rating but I was expecting more horror in it. Felt a little let down in that aspect, but I will say veiled Sister Hissem in her temple robes and showing the first penalty of the aaronic priesthood was quite chilling. Could've worked more on that scary aspect.

Thanks for the film to help me laugh at a church and belief system that was so controlling of me for so long.

Very niche film, so most people won't get it very well. But for those that it fits, you'll probably like it.

It's a really interesting concept

Caught this film in the company of the director Bokovoy. I found it amusing, especially the beginning of the film which slides from a near SNL skit into a darker, and more serious mood. The topic of the story is quite unique and a film like this requires a very specific audience.

What I liked the most was the setup, brought on by authentic editing which really capture the tone of the situation very well. The story was well told, though the acting of some of the characters felt disconnected at times. But the cheesy parts are forgivable because hey, it's a horror comedy. Don't take this film too seriously now.

It's not entirely my type of film, but Ronald's Little Factory rises above the indie film schlock popping up around the world because there is a clear passion to its inspiration. Could it have been better? Sure. But for a first time feature filmmaker, it does wonders that many others still fail at after numerous attempts.
