This illuminating three-parter about the history of writing hooked me in surprisingly early. This is an aspect of history that I've actually done some academic work on so I was pleased to see folk like the great Irving Finkel included. I was also hugely relieved that despite covering this vast subject in only three hours, the focus wasn't solely on Latin script but had a pleasingly global perspective (despite a lack of coverage for millions of Indian languages). Certainly worth a gander for those with an interest but frankly I'd welcome an even longer exploration of the subject. Volumes of it.
