When I watched the feature film "Four Jills in a Jeep", I enjoyed it mildly. However, after seeing this featurette, "The Real Four Jills", it really made the feature much better as it was filled with wonderful background material about the making of the film. I had just assumed that "Four Jills in a Jeep" was pure Hollywood fantasy--not knowing that the selection of the four stars was NOT random but based on real life. It seems that Kay Francis really DID organize a USO tour of these same four women in England and North Africa to entertain the troops! And, while the details of the trip were very much fabricated in the movie, it was essentially true. Many other wonderful bits of information can be found in this short film and it's imperative you see it along with the film! Well worth your time.
